Seriously. This is why I can’t help but laugh at all the idiots in this board that think they know better than PM.

The only mistake Paul made tonight was taking the bunt off with Hughes atvthe plate and runners on the corner with one out. That could’ve been the ballgame.

That one puzzled me too. I've always been a Paul fan, but didn't like that call at all. I was a little concerned that not capitalizing on those 2 early walks was gonna bite us in the arse.

I have never been a Paul fan and was actually excited as frick that he actually called a squeeze. Then he ruined it. I also liked that he left Hess in for the 8th.

Well I was on record in the game thread saying leave him in during the 7th AND 8th innings so if he’d have blown it I would’ve had to eat crow. I’ve just always been with a stick with the hot hand guy until he gives you a reason not to. And I’m comfortable with Hess going 120+.
ETA: That doesn’t mean he should have a guy ready to come in at a moments notice that late in the game. But I thought he handled the pitching perfectly tonight.
