This is going to be one of those games where LSU is going to put up donuts against this Ace so they're going to need to work the counts deep to try to get him out of the game early. This happened a lot last year and the year before and it's why I'm such a big Chris Reid fan.

Cutters don’t have that much depth.
ETA: Hess was throwing a legitimate cutter late in 2017 and that’s why he was so tough. It’s mind boggling that they scrapped it.

Our better hitters are biting on every slider down and the guys that are getting pitches to hit like Hughes and Broussard are doing their 4 hopper to the infield routine.

The only pitches he should be throwing are fastballs and sliders (on occasion) because he should only be throwing in the 8th or 9th inning
