They did last Sunday. Where that attitude went, I have no idea. I really thought that was going to be the spark they needed, but man they just shriveled up and crawled into a hole.

I would say this team isn't that talented depth wise is the issue. In years past if we had struggles we can just cycle people out and someone would come in clutch or get hot. This team's large problem is they whiffed in the portal and so this just trickles on every other player. Everyone is pressing. Then you have pitching who are mentally in the ringer because they know their defense is terrible plus you have injuries like Moore which is a huge injury. This team is just bad at every facet of the game. It will get cleaned up next year and if we get lucky, maybe they make a second half run figuring things out.

One bright spot I have seen lately is that Braun seems to be taking to first base and seems to be getting more comfortable and better each game.

Not just that, but he’s hitting at the same time. I was worried the transition could affect him at the plate. Just because it’s a lot to learn with not a lot of time to practice.
