I honestly feel bad for y'all, you got the shaft by the CFP committe. I think there is a strange bias to keep certain teams at the top this year for some reason, or maybe they put all their eggs in one basket.

Auburn @ #14

I mean come on? Terrible

LSU is behind the 3 SEC schools they lost to. What's so wrong with the ranking?

I don't mind Auburn being ahead of us, but like 7 spots?

14?

Louisville is 9-3 and lost to fricking KENTUCKY and they fell 2 spots.

Had lsu had 3 losses and lost to a&m we would have dropped 10 spots.

We have 4 losses. Seems fair enough to me.

That's about what LSU is, but Auburn is 6 spots ahead of the next 4-loss team...that's a little fishy considering they lost 2 of their last 3 and didn't put up 200 yards of offense in either of those games (Bama was understandable, but they were awful against UGA).

Exactly, more money from the out of towners from Auburn and Florida.

The inconsistency of this playoff committee is what bothers me. I just can't understand how LSU loses a dogfight to Bama and drops 11 spots but Auburn gets dominated and drops 1 spot.

who would have thought.. narrowing the pool of selectors from 60+ voters in two major polls to a handful in a committee would create more room for bias.... the fact that the NCAA actually thought this system was better is beyond me.

Actually, this isn't accurate...at least not for Florida fans. The last time they went to the Sugar in 2013, the Sugar Bowl had its lowest attendance since the 30s. Florida sold just over 7000 tickets of their allotment of 17000+ when they played and lost to Louisville. The largest attendance in the last decade (by a decent margin) was LSU vs Notre Dame. The Sugar Bowl CEO said they actually do very well when LSU is in it because they know all the seats will be filled and LSU fans spend a lot of money partying in the city for the week leading up to it. They usually have shorter hotel stays, but they actually fill up more hotels than would be expected.

Because Florida didn't give a shite about playing Louisville. LSU fans show up the night before or day of the game. Florida and Auburn fans stay the entire week. Tickets are the least of their worries, it's the tourism that matters. LSU fans don't really bring much to the table since it's mostly Louisiana residents

To be fair, LSU lost to Auburn, almost lost to Mississippi State who was beyond terrible when that game happened, and lost to a decimated Florida team at home.
