This was 2019 season pre covid...but i think this illustrates why you want to wait to buy.
quote] UCLA football tickets went on sale July 17th via primary partner Ticketmaster and are available for all games at the Rose Bowl on the 2019 UCLA schedule. Face value ranges from $30 for games against San Diego State, Oregon State, Colorado, Arizona State and Cal. Only the Oklahoma game starts at a higher prices, with the cheapest face value going for $69. That's about 20% less expensive than the secondary market, which means that buying directly from the team is the best option for the highest-demand game of the season.[/quote]

If its anywhere near full capacity, I can guarantee you'll be able to get a ticket on game day for 40 bucks

Learned my lesson for the Wisconsin game at lambeaux. Overpaid by a couple hundred dollars per ticket.
Did you sell your 4 to me the day of the game. I bought 4 for $200 a piece. I think the seller paid at least $100 per ticket more.

Correct. If they allow full capacity, LSU will have more fans there than UCLA.

No vegas no care

it would be a huge mistake to buy a ticket for this game right now. the prices will be much lower as it gets closer.

You will be able to buy one there for $100 or less, I bet.

UCLA hosted Oklahoma in 2019 and half of the stadium was empty. I wouldn't touch anything over $200 for this game.
UGA/Clemson & Bama/Miami will probably force this game to have a shitty kickoff time as well.

That's pretty rough. You can find cheaper tickets than that at Bryant-Denny

Don't buy anything now. This is what you do:
If you are a season ticket holder, request tickets.
If you do not get them from LSU, find out the single game on sale date and call in/buy online through UCLA.
For Washington in '09, that is what everyone did. You wound up having entire LSU sections spread throughout the stadium, as the majority bought on the first couple days.
The only thing that may happen is you have to buy a two of three game package if you want LSU tickets. However, this is the PAC12 and UW did not do that when we visited.
I believe the face value of the ticket is $150.

UCLA is going to allow like 5k people in the stadium being in Cali and they'll all be LSU fans.
Curious to see how LSU does on attendance this season. I have a bad feeling for home games. I don't hear much enthusiasm around this season which seems kinda shocking tbh with things slowly pushing back to normal. Maybe all the negative stuff around the university and politics draining people. Louisiana is a pretty poor state too I can't imagine economically people are prioritizing football right now.

Thinking about going to Vegas with a friend to watch the game at a sports book. Seems like a better use of the money.

This is actually true.
You can get UCLA season tickets for $299 a piece.

LSU should be pushing to get this game flipped to tiger stadium. We have had multiple times where we flipped schedules to make things work.
No doubt though as the game gets closer ticket prices will drop like a rock

But I suspect that if it is anywhere close to 100k you should be able to find a ticket closer to game day at a MUCH cheaper price
I just have a hard time believing California will allow any sports above 50% capacity by then.

No thanks. Would much rather make a trip out of it and get to see LSU play in the rose bowl. It would be just any other game in tiger stadium.

Gotta think, at minimum, they allow 50k in, by the time the game rolls around, could open it up to 70k.
I'm going regardless, but my thoughts are that the prices go down significantly.

LSU could make the return trip later. I would much rather a rose bowl as well but what good is it if there are restrictions all around?

And if you really have cajones, they'll be less than $100 at the game.

I did that for the game in Knoxville in 2011.
I had a feeling with Tennessee sucking that it would be easy to get a ticket outside the stadium.
It paid off, I bought two tickets for $20 a piece and sat in the lower bowl.
