It doesn’t matter. It’s regression. For whatever reason, they are statistically regressing.
Sure, but it isn't actual regression.
Similarly, the run game tonight looked much better than it has the past two weeks but I don't believe that was actual improvement, it's just due to a weaker opposing defense.

What is the cutoff on when you can decide whether someone is a good or bad hire? Please give me an exact number of days. I will hold off my judgement until then.
I feel like two years is a decent sample size. It doesn't really matter what I think though, BK likely already knows if it was a mistake or not.

Its results based regression, which is what matters. Results matter. No two opponents are the same. So if that is your requirement to judge improvement and regression, you are never going to get it.

Right. Which is probably why he is now more involved in the play calling.

From what I read here, no one could really tell a difference.

It doesn’t matter what you read on here. He told you that he was more involved. It’s a fact. He got more involved for a reason. I never said it was more successful once he got involved because it wasn’t.

I guess we will see once the season ends.
I believe many of the criticisms regarding playcalling to be unfounded and I think it's more of an execution issue.
Hard to be successful when you have a relatively inexperienced quarterback paired with no run game.

Beating up fellow Tiger fans is not a fun thing to do, OP.

Let's be honest, BK has been trying to rebuild this team since Orgeron burnt the bitch down. Worst WR room at LSU in my lifetime, worst RB room at LSU in my lifetime, worst DBs at LSU in my lifetime, and etc. The offense is just dreadful besides Taylor and sometimes Campbell on the line.

8th where?? None of those guys are major contributors today clown. If you can’t see that we are arse in the secondary, mediocre at lb and thin at DLine idk what to tell u. We don’t have a true #1 wr. OL GCG is weak af. Are we not watching the same games? We also have a head case at qb.

It’s always the HC’s fault. Kelly even said it himself “the buck stops with me” I’m not leading the fire Kelly charge because I believe firing him could lead to catastrophe for the program. However, absolving him of the teams performance is ignorance
The most sound, reasonable post I've seen yet.

Well we were 6-1 and just beat ole miss not too long ago.
Clearly things have changed.
Congrats you were right. Despite being flawed, deep down you knew we sucked.

I dont see how dropping int’s are undisciplined

They have a noticeable pattern. They let the nuclear meltdown clear from people who work for a living and show up at 10 A.M. on Monday morning and pump sunshine for 5 days about the 2025 recruiting class until the next loss.
After Vandy, they'll still be giving the talent excuse and blaming Coach O.
Rich coming from a guy who is still pining for O.

Damn, sounds like the coach needs to get a QB with experience and better players in the run game. So next year will your excuse be that it’s hard to be successful when you have to replace 4/5 offensive linemen? And then the year after, when it’s Underwood’s first year starting you’ll go back to the inexperienced QB excuse?

I am a Kelly diehard and I have two words....$70 million.
After
2024-2025: 70
2025-2026: 60
2026-2027: 50
2027-2028: 40
2028-2029: 30
2029-2030: 20.
So I say "Four more years!", "Four more years!".
Jokes apart....
Kelly is the best coach you will be able to hire at LSU. If he cannot fix this....nobody can. You will do worse. It took a special chancellor to hire Nick Saban. Miles was a drop off from Saban.and EdO was falling off a cliff from Miles. Then it took a special AD to hire BK. Whoever you hire after him, will do worse. I would take 10-3,10-4,8-5 any day over 6-6, 6-7.

I like the hire to stabilize the program but you don’t do it for 10 years. You wanna overpay, fine but it’s a 5 year deal or in that range at least.
Pretty sure that was all Kelly.
At Kelly’s age, you don’t leave Notre Dame for a 5 year deal. If you’re gonna leave, you’re looking at your retirement gig. That’s what it took to get him.

I haven't seen anyone make a good case for any particular area where the team has actually regressed.
Earlier in the year we had one of the highest scoring offenses. You really don’t see regression?

I am not a Kelly fan I am an LSU fan but I’ll take the bait. If you take the dropped interceptions, the dropped passes, the pic penalty on the TD, Taylor stepping out of bounds, Hilton missing on 2 catchable balls you probably have over 150 additional yds passing and 3 TD’s. At some point players have to make plays. They were in position to do it. That would be coaching. They were running the ball which has been missing last few games. Doesn’t mean Kelly isn’t beyond criticism and may have made a few bad calls but to put it entirely on coaching is wanting to push your narrative. Players need to make plays when put in position and they were. They didn’t.
