Lousy effort by student section tonight

For the majority of the game we are beating or within a couple of points of blue blood Kentucky and the student section had to be urged by the players to get in the game. Really really disappointing

Agree. I was at the game and felt as a fan base it was lackluster for the majority of the game. You are up on Kentucky and no life from crowd majority of the game.

The TV guys mentioned it as well that they thought the crowd would be louder in a close game. However, big stops on D correlating to runs on offense fuel crowd emotion. LSU just couldn't get stops in the 2nd half

The game broadcast was calling out the fans.

I agree 110%, not all on students though. People near me and I were talking about how quiet it was for such a big crowd. Embarrassing.

Yeah we have too many people who think they are too cool to cheer. It's dumb. Plenty of defensive possessions I was one of the only people screaming.
I thought the crowd in general could have stood up more, but the overall noise level seemed solid.
I think the crowd will get better with time as Wade builds the program back.

Easy to blame the Student Section, but the rest of the building sucked tonight too. People finally got up to yell after we went up 65-64. Pretty pathetic by everyone. Don't just single out the students.

The student section really is in such a shitty section of the PMAC though. Behind the goal and next to the media row. If you let the students get closer to the action they'll feel more obligated to get into the game.
Unless you're a diehard fan it's hard to get into the game when you're so far away from the court. The DJ is starting to get cheesy as well
