Billy Cannon.

No Contest.

People these days don't realize what a physical freak he was. He was a white Herschel Walker or Bo Jackson.

Peyton Manning easily the best from LA. As for LSU, its a toss up between Casanova and Billy Cannon. From all accounts Ive heard those two were true football players. I really wish I could have watched them play.

John David Crowe, not as well known but won the heisman in 1957 while playing for Bear Bryant at Texas A&M..check his stats , he was also a 4 time pro bowler..

jim taylor: against tulane, down 6-0, taylor ran for the go ahead touchdown, kicked the extra point to take the lead, made a touchdown saving tackle and had an interception to win the game.

against GT in 1957, taylor scored every tiger point as LSU beat GT 20-13.

5 straight 1,000 yard rushing seasons, 5 championships with green bay, scored the first rushing touchdown in super bowl history.

Not the best ever @ LSU, but Josh Reed was more highly celebrated/ awarded than a lot of the players mentioned in this thread.

Peyton Manning. When he's done he'll be the most highly decorated QB in NFL history.
