It has been widely reported that Charlie Mac wouldn't let Tommy Casanova play much on offense because he was too valuable in the defensive backfield. He gets my vote. Seems I've seen somewhere that he was a 3-time AA.

The next one is more difficult:

It would be between Marshall Faulk, Terry Bradshaw, and Billy Cannon. What a lot of people don't know is that Billy Cannon played both ways. He made a game-saving tackle on a goal line stand the same night he ran for the long punt return.

Marshall Faulk was a great RB. Terry Bradshaw was actually more successful as a pro than any of the others.

some of the old timers will tell you that John David Crow was twice the running back as Billy Cannon. I personally find that hard to believe. Terry Bradshaw is the first that comes to mind along with Cannon and JD Crow. The best high school back i've ever seen was Raymond Tate. Kevin Faulk and Bobby Ray Tell was a close second. Quick story, I believe it was 1993 Haynesville played Evangel in Shreveport in a battle of two of the best lower class teams in the state. Evangel was lead by John David Booty and Haynesville was lead by Bobby Ray Tell. To make a long story short, when the dust settled Bobby Ray Tell had put on one of the best live performance i've ever seen. Haynesville beat Evangel like a red headed stepchild that night and went on to win a State Championship.
