Love this and it is waayyy overdue. I hope this will be added to the rotation. Knowing LSU this will be a one off and the jerseys will be given to big money donors.

Not to mention that we used to pack 15,000 in to the Assembly Center on a regular basis. Those were the good old days
And they had the deaf dome decibel meter hanging from the ceiling

13,215

Yes we did draw over 15,000 back in the 80s and 90s. Wikipedia doesn't know everything!

That’s after the reconfiguration. Geauxpurple wasn’t lying. The PMAC attendance record is 15,694 against Ole Miss in 1981.

14,327 was the official capacity when the place first opened. There was a game against Ole Miss in ‘81 when the fire marshal must have had the night off because there was 15,000-plus in the house for that one.
ETA: I see someone looked up the actual total for that game.
And those uniforms were worn from 1977-79. LSU had a stretch in the mid ‘70s to the mid ‘80s where they would wear a uniform style for two seasons and then get a new set.

I wonder how many people we crammed in there for concerts? It was so cool to walk from my dorm to the Assembly Center for a concert.

Yep.
I was in the student section for that 1981 game against Ole Miss.
Back then people used to sit in the aisles, stand on the middle concourse, and no one used to talk about building a 10,000 seat arena like they do now.
