the misplaced unhinged hatred of all things O and Alleva for hiring O is pretty damn annoying in and of itself

kinda like the blind defense of someone most agree was not a good decision huh

However, there constant misery at the O hire though brings me great pleasure and great joy. So for that I'm very content and happy.

It’s not blind defense. The guy is 9-3 so far in his first season. Not everyone sees that as some abject failure.

The recruits get wind from the fan base that LSU has the worst, the most incompetent coach in the country so they go elsewhere.

Expecting a rational and logical decision from a 17-18 year old impressionable kid with a dwindling attention span who's idea of commitment is remembering to stream the latest World Star videos is not something I wonder "why" about.

Why even follow the team if you have this level of contempt for the players?

That is a very short sighted view IMO. More to judge the direction of the program on than the record. Larry Coker was great taking over for someone else...

No one who loves LSU hates O. And those who trot that line out are trolls with an agenda. I'm here to rant. No agenda, no one with "power" at LSU gives a shite about what I think.

So this anyone who isn't on the O train is a hater BS needs to die a quick death

Why would anyone not expect dissatisfaction with a DL guy getting the head job, our worse L in Miss. St. history, a L to a vastly less talented Troy, a 3rd place finish in the SEC west, and a 17th place finish in the playoff ranking?

Ironically "Space Cowboy" posted this comment on the deleted Pruitt thread: "Damn, has Tenn sunk to the point that they cannot even hire an establish Coach and must resort to hiring a Defensive Coordinator who looks funny?" Meantime in this thread he bitches about people who think that "I am the search Alleva" devalued this program by hiring a DL Coach without bona fide occupational qualifications. Alleva fired Miles with the explicit goal of hiring an Offensive-Minded Coach with the credentials to compete with Saban. That was not done.

LSU faced a Top 5 SOS in 2015 and Miles landed the #2 Recruiting Class. 2017 was historically low 42 SOS + or - whether you take into account SORecord and SOResume. The current Recruiting Class is #14 with 18 commits...Texas is #2 with 18 commits.

Because they have coaches. Coaching is more than football.

It is what it is. Alabama has spots to fill. If you're a kid who can go to a team that is almost guaranteed to play in the National Championship bracket, would you turn it down? Look at it honestly, what can LSU or any other school other than Clemson (now) offer a recruit who can go and play next year at Alabama? That's just looking at going and playing for a Championship every year.

If you're good enough you can also probably end up with a new car, plenty of weed, all expenses paid with walking money. Add in someone going to class for you and getting you a degree, Plus you get a National Championship before you're 21. Not bad if you're looking at schools.

Our biggest advantage is we're a shortcut to the pros. Which does mean something. However it also means we don't see many good Juniors returning.

Nope. Not the point. My point was: Why put so much thought and concern into the actions of a kid BEFORE he signs with the team you follow? To suggest that LSU is "losing" recruits by some action and not because of immaturity and being easily swayed suggests no confidence in the team / school you follow.
Oh, as for my contempt, it isn't just for the players of that generation.
