Screw all of you comparing PM to Smoke and this team to his. We had a rebuilding year. We had injuries to key pitchers. No college program besides mayby Texas and ASU has the ability to overcome the key injuries we had. When you lose AR and Ott to injuries and lose Coleman this is what you get. We were forced to press too much this season on offense and it created too many problems to overcome. PM has the recruits coming in, we will see how many make it to campus, but the future is bright.

Our hitting (or lack of) is the problem. Ur not going to keep a top 25 team from scoring runs. Our pitchers are getting no help.

beardedzeus hit it the nail right on the head! These guys have ABSOLUTELY zero plate discipline and for the last day and a half will not lay off the 1-2 or 2-2 junk pitch in the dirt!

I would have thought that giving up 3 runs in 5 innings wouldn't be that bad. I didn't realize that the LSU hitting would be this lethargic. The game is nor over but they need to wake up and play to get on base and not drive everything out of the park because the pitcher is to good to give them a homerun ball to hit.

My mistake. We definitely need to hire a hitting coach that will teach our hitters not to swing at balls. It is obvious no one has ever went over that with our players.
