very clever The Citrus Bowl is the most prestigious bowl game for an SEC team outside of the NY6. Beating Troy would not have changed our position in the bowl season at all.

We would have gotten a NY6 bowl over Auburn without the Troy loss and would be a top 10 team. We've been punished all season in the polls for Troy

this. lsu's only losses would be at miss st and at baman with a win over 3 loss auburn.

What does this have to do with LSU losing to a UAB team that had never had a winning season in division 1-A in Saban's first season at LSU?
What does it have to do with a 2017 LSU team losing to a Troy team that will probably finish the season 11-2 and possibly ranked in the top 25?

LSU was #16 vs Troy if they beat Troy #21 Auburn, #10 Auburn, then Ole Miss then the Alabama loss probably doesn't knock them out of the Top 10. LSU would be a Top 10 team still and I doubt Auburn would have jumped them
