I don't harp on it. I realize that shite happens. No different than Saban losing to uab and ulm...didn't matter. Lsu actually did have half of it's best players out and a lit of inexperienced fresh playing...still finding their way. It is over, done with, and will have no bearing on the future. All it does is give O hating trolls ammunition to continue bitching.

"we want to make Saban comparisons"??

No we don't want to but they are there and happened. No way to re-write history. It is what it is. Both coaches had bad losses as first year head coaches at LSU.

They don't understand that NO ONE is defending that loss. It sucked, it was embarrassing, but it was also 7 games ago. We've got a bowl game waiting for us against Notre Dame, and would probably still have that matchup even if we beat Troy.

So, honestly in the long run, losing to Troy doesn't fricking matter!

It is still fricking Troy, it is like Michigan losing to Appy State, it should not happen. I don't fricking care what they do against the rest of their shitty schedule

I don't think anybody is justifying the loss, just pointing out that it was a solid opponent an everyone over reacted after that loss

10-2 is different to 9-3 and possibility of a different bowl game, so it does fricking matter

There is no excuse EVER for LSU tonlose to Troy so you people need to stop trying to excuse.

Troy’s best team ever should go no better than 11-1 if even LSUs worst team ever is on the schedule.

This is a stupid proclamation to declare. LSU is not the only SEC school that has lost to Troy. The only SEC school with with a 1st year HC, 1st year OC and playing well over 30 freshmen to lose to Troy, YES. But not the only SEC school to lose to them.

And Clemson should never lose to Cuse...whats your point?

I’m going to need some proof of that. I know they were 17th when they played LSU and i’m almost certain that’s as high as they got. But if i’m wrong, i’m wrong.

Bottom line for me is this: I hate the “Saban has bad losses too” argument because it implies that O can be every bit as successful as Saban. All due respect to O, but I just don’t believe that. Still, he’s been a pretty good coach so far and I look forward to building on this year.

Which bowl game would we be in if we beat Troy?

Do you think we would've turned our shite around and finished 6-1 if we beat Troy?

I don't understand what's funny at all about saying the Troy loss helped the team get their shite together and finish 6-1. They looked sloppy as hell and got blown out by State before that. Even Syracuse was a shitshow for the most part.

Are you really equating a 4-8 Syracuse to a p5 program?

its a mid major with 3 nfl prospects. we have more nfl prospects in our secondary than their entire team.

they literally havent had a top 95 class in 5 years. in no way is troy a silid opponent

Last year Georgia held on to beat Nichols St 26-24 and Clemson the national champ barely beat Troy 30-24.

I'm not excusing the loss, at least these teams pulled out the win, but let downs happen even to championship teams.

I wish I could bet you a paycheck that Troy would stomp a huge mudhole in Cuse this year.

Yea, I said that. I've watched that 4-8 team play. They're terrible. Troy was not.

So fricking what? I don't care why or what you cry about. Hope this thread has you totally bummed.

it implies that O can be every bit as successful as Saban

Well there is no way to know if that will ever happen or not. All we have now is both having shitty losses in the first year at LSU.

Again, so fricking what? I don't care what you cry about and certainly don't care what you believe will happen with LSU in the future.
