At least he beat him before, three times actually.

Fair enough. But the story's not written yet on O. I think he can beat him too....or rather yet MC/DA can beat him.

If it had been fine, O wouldn't be head coach.

I thought the objective of firing a coach with nine wins and a top 16th ranked team was to get better results and not the same or worse.

Did Les frick your lady? Your obsession with him is getting way out of hand. It was time for Les to go and you need to let him go. The discussion is O's failures at LSU or successes.

Is 9-3 the regular season success you are fine with now?

question for ya.....you're stating this as if its a good thing correct?
Then why when CEO has basically achieved the same thing in his first year...its not good enough?

Like I said earlier, App State had won back to back FCS titles and won a third in 07 but their win over Michigan that year is still the signature upset in college football history.

The only reason the Troy upset wasn’t a bigger deal on a national level is because Miss State had already pushed our shite in two weeks before and we were already an afterthought.

This should be a "/thread". But we all know that won't happen.

I would ask how in the actual frick this thread got to 40+ pages, but I know it's because PEEJ, RedTiger and Nomojeaux are mouth-breathing retards.

Anyone know what the record is?

Should we have lost to them? No.

Are they a good team? Yes.

And there in lies the big disconnect. You want to pretend O got off the bus in January 2017 and hasn't been a part of LSU football since 2015.

When LSU was going 9-3 in 2015 I was content with the idea running around that LSU was going to hire Jimbo because 9-3 or 10-3 without beating Alabama had gotten old and was underachieving for LSU football. I still feel the same and see no evidence anything is likely to change anytime soon.

He's stating it as if it was the status quo that got the last guy fired.

His records weren't the only reason he got fired.

True. It also includes lack of offensive diversity, QB development and beating Bama.

For next season to be a success O must show he can do these things. They will include:

Beating all opponents they are supposed to beat.
Quality QB play and effective passing game.
Beating Bama - it's a home game so it will be expected

Fair or not, the fan base will not be forgiving. Considering the 2018 schedule and unknowns on the offensive side, the margin for error is small and they will have to be ready game 1 when they face Miami. Hope he's up for it.
