For next season to be a success O must show he can do these things. They will include:
Beating all opponents they are supposed to beat.
Quality QB play and effective passing game.
Beating Bama - it's a home game so it will be expected
Totally agree...and I'll take a place at the front of the tarring and feathering line if he underachieves.

His records weren't the only reason he got fired.
Why do people keep saying this like it's true? Miles' repeated refusal and/or failure to update and evolve his offense lead directly to a steady stream of disappointing and underachieving win-loss records, which is why he was fired. Wins and losses and competing for or not competing for championships are what define a coach's success.

Y'all forget they beat us at OUR PLACE a few years back with Dak. The score was closer but that LSU team was stronger than the one this year.
Duly noted that RTR (alter for roll tide roll obviously) acknowledges that the second worst team in Miles’ tenure was better than O’s possible 10 win juggernaut this year

But but but we should not lose to State at home ever...right? Isn't that the consensus.

Who ever said that?
It’s embarassing to lose to State by 30. But to say we should never lose to another SEC team ever is just a straw man.

Wasn’t excusing anything. That team had the second worst record in Miles’ tenure and you said yourself it was stronger than this years team.
Just found that interesting for someone that seems so happy with the direction of the program

That team was #8 at the time and State was unranked....and we had arguably the best back we've ever had in LF (who ran for a whopping 38 yards)...plus we were at home and had your boy at the wheel. No way we should lose right?
Try again hoss.

Preseason rankings are meaningless. Even a tard like you should know that. So touting ranking in September should be below your keen intellect.

Hey, dumb shite. We fired Miles.

I don't think it's clicked for him yet.

That MSU team also went on to beat #6 A&M, #2 Auburn, would eventually be ranked #1 in the nation, and would lose to Bama by 5 points. In fact, their losses were only to ranked teams.
In other words, this is an example of a "good" loss. Losing to Troy, not so much.

Which is why the rankings at the end of the year are a much better reflection of how good teams are.
LSU finished unranked (again, you think that team is stronger than this one btw), and MSU went on to be ranked #1 for several weeks and finished #11/12.
If ranking at the time of the game is what matters, O got violated by 30 by an unranked State team
And LF was playing in his fourth collegiate game, but why let facts get in the way of a good rant.
I would say try again hoss to you, but I’m not a try hard nerd

What a douche. We were 5 games into the season you moron. Preseason season my arse. We had beaten a UW team that finished 11-3 and then destroyed SHSU and ULM by a combined margin of 87-0.
You gonna sit there and tell me you saw that one coming?
Dak was just beginning to blossom into the impact player he would become.
Just admit that Miles underestimated MSU...just like O did with Troy and all is forgiven!

We were only ranked that high based off the preseason ranking.

Yea, we didn't see it coming. Do you think that makes some sort of point for you? Quite the opposite actually. A loss like that was an anomaly for Miles. O had 2 of them in 3 weeks.

I don't see how you think this makes a good point for you.

Why would I need to spin anything? Les wasn't getting it done and was rightuflly fired. Why are you fighting this?
Posted on 12/19/17 at 1:40 pm to BayouCowboy
It’s always the record and west titles. We could have run the freaking veer no one in power would have cared if we winning 11 games and the west now and then.
What exactly did that offensive diversity do for us this season? Last time I checked, we were nine and three and gaining less total yds and scoring less points than we did in 2015 while playing a weaker SOS.

BS..we were ranked that high because we were undefeated and rolling...who the fk are you kidding?

Wanna blame this on O too I suppose?

ok if you say so.

So he did have the team completely prepared? ok..cuz for like 3 quarters we fumble-fked around like lost puppies.
What was it...like 34-10 before BH got rolling?.....after of course, we had to endure AJ's futility in leading the O until it was too late.
You're right we had em right where we wanted them.
