You are the one that called Troy a top 25 team. They aren’t.

But, you are the one throwing out the intelligence and education and success digs.

Oh yeah? Well let me throw out my age, academic records, resume, tax returns, and investment portfolio to prove you wrong!!
Oh wait, I wouldn’t do that because I’m not some obvious nerd alter desperate for posters on an anonymous message board to buy my credibility.
But you do you, Nomojeaux. Place wouldn’t be the same without ya. It’s been a great week and a half since you showed up

Nobody will know or care that Troy was very good this year, that we were missing a huge part of our best players for that game, that penalties haunted us early in the year so bad that CEO stepped in and halted the pre-snap movement the first two quarters of the game which handcuffed Canada and ruined their relationship. It will be the signature loss for CEO like ULM is for Saban. Hopefully, CEO will not have another.

Exactly.
Like I said earlier, App State had won back to back FCS titles and won a third in 07 but their win over Michigan that year is still the signature upset in college football history.
The only reason the Troy upset wasn’t a bigger deal on a national level is because Miss State had already pushed our shite in two weeks before and we were already an afterthought.

Define struggled. Cuz if its what I think it is, Miles did this frequently in games every year.

Dude, Miles is gone. Miles struggled with Troy and once lost to State. O got blown the frick out by State and actually lost to Troy over a 3 week span. Miles is O's daddy when it comes to coaching.
Move on and stop bringing Miles up in threads that are meant to pump up O's failures this season.

Troy has joined Boise State and Central Florida as a formerly lower division team that now has acquired elite status.
UCF just went winless like 2 seasons ago. it was a big deal. a bar in orlando gave away free beer until UCF won a game. Troy is not elite status simply because it beat LSU.
how are some of you still defending this loss?
It does not matter that Troy has 11 wins, or that the received votes in the AP poll, because a large reason they are receiving votes is because of their double digit wins.
outside of beating LSU and maybe the bowl game, how many of those sports journalists who vote in the AP poll actually watched Troy football this year??
Troy is not a talented team. they are well coached, which is why they were able to upset a talented LSU team with an underqualified coach.

but the State loss was a HISTORIC worst loss to that program.
Y'all forget they beat us at OUR PLACE a few years back with Dak. The score was closer but that LSU team was stronger than the one this year. I think the coaching had a little to do with that one as well.

from 2013-2015, Miles' last 3 full seasons, when he was allegedly on the "decline" LSU won 18 games by double digits, an average of 6 a year. so ~50% of games played from 2013-2015 resulted in a double digit win for LSU.

Says who? 2014 had #6heisman playing like shite in that game.

I'd say the coaching had a lot with us getting blown out this year too.

You're the only a-hole that keeps bringing him up. I posted it in response to you constantly trying to tear the man's accomplishments down while propping up O. I'm beginning to seriously think you legit have a learning disability.

But the agenda driven O-flakes will never give any credit or validity to the positives since he’s been here. If your lot were half as smart as you think you are you’d realize this and know that it exposes your bias.
Why are you so sensitive and give a frick about no one "giving him credit for the positives?" This is a tough fricking job that he signed up for.
He wasn't hired for moral victories, he was hired to get a championship. Get that and if people are still negative then they're the bad apples.
If me thinking he's not a very good coach because he hasn't proven it by way of performance is bias then I'm biased.

I thought we replaced Miles because we wanted something better.

relentless pushing of agenda
The 30 point loss to Mississippi State and Homecoming loss to a SBC team we were much more talented than are facts which show a poorly prepared and coached team and has nothing to do with an agenda. They happened this season and are highly relevant to the discussion of the season.
Also relevant is how LSU responded to their shitty start which was about as good as they could do. Also relevant is our seventh loss in a row to Alabama two under the direction of O. We can talk about that loss all we want, but in the end they beat us by two TDs and were taking a knee at games end. All we have left is the bowl game to finish up a 9-3 regular season and a final playoff ranking of 17.
The change was made September 2016 and we still haven't beat Alabama, won the west, SEC, or been highly ranked in the final playoff poll. Until we do one of those things, bringing in O and his results deserves to be questioned. If you cant understand or agree with that then its you with the questionable agenda.

Focus homer.

and not to be outdone, Orgeron has followed it up with a shutout of his own, as well as a game where, but for Bama kneeling, they cover the 20 point spread against LSU, the largest LSU bama spread in 25 years.

Troy is a good, talented team that is well coached, and it's not unreasonable that they can beat a better than average Power 5 Team on its home turf.
That said, it's clear that LSU's uniform choice had a great deal to do with the outcome of that game. LSU struggled mightily in two prior games vs the Lil Trojans (once under Saban!) and if they actually had a choice, they should not have chosen purple jerseys again, as they did in 2004 and 2008.

show me where they are in recruiting rankings?
who is their highest rated player?

no its not out of the realm of possibility, but it is the first time a Sun Belt team has beaten LSU in 36 tries, and it snapped a 49 game non-conference win streak at home.
