Not sure about the question. Did make me sick to see so many folks from UGA go down with injuries--one week too late.

Moreover, if we land LF, the gambit will have worked out perfectly.

Most likely.

I really hope Fournette is half as good as Adrian Peterson. A great run game is a young QBs best friend.

You don't have a clue what you are talking about. He could leave after this year but most close to him aren't saying he is gone.

It's not about this year.

You people aren't being objective.

If i told you back in 2011, that we wouldn't take a RB the next 2 recruiting classes and that Ware and Ford would leave early, but there's a CHANCE we could get a great 5 star recruit in 2014, you people would've shite.

It's not about this year's offense. It's about next year's when Blue, hill, and Hilliard are gone. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if Magee jumps early too because judging from last year, LSU players are not afraid to leave early regardless of draft stock. We'll probably be okay with LF, but we've already lost 1 top LA recruit. It's not inconceivable to lose another. That said, I think we get him. It was just a stupid risk though.

UGA went into this season with Gurley and Marshall and 2 highly touted backs in Sony Michel and Nick Chubb that were committed to them. Why on earth would they take 3 RBs in '13?

They took Douglas, JJ Green, and Quayvon Hicks.

So I count 4 TBs currently on their team which is what we have not including Brazil. What am I missing?

Simply stating that not taking a RB for 2 years in a row is a mistake and an unnecessary risk.

you are simply stating it for like the 5000th time. But who that we did sign would you have not signed in order to sign a RB? In 2012 it made sense because LSU had a back log of underclassmen. In 2013 you could argue they should have signed a RB. In an ideal world I'd sign a RB and a QB in every class, but maybe, just maybe they either did not fell there was 1 they had a chance to sign that was worth giving that scholarship to over a DLman or DB.

Not sure about Marshalls injury.

Done, ACL confirmed as was Scott-Wesley, Bennett undergoing procedure to knee to determine damage. That's at minimum two starting WRs done for UGA and maybe a third, plus first man in after Gurley.

The scenario you posed seems more negatively biased than credible and objective. Possible but not credible. Every post you have in this thread suggests what if the sky falls then we are screwed. Magee isn't leaving and you are acting like Hillard leaving is for sure, which you don't know. We get Fournette and Boo. Then we pull 2-3 more RBs in the next class.

He's actually looking pretty good so far. If he finished out strong, and LF does committ, I wouldnt be shocked if he left.

Because they weren't before UGA's injury? Damn, you are dumb.

I hope you realize why we didn't take any backs this past year. Look what's waiting in the wings

No shite... So they were just coasting, but now that UGA's backup RB got hurt they are an energized bunch? That is what you call a reach.

And if LSU would have taken 3 RBs last year, and LF decided to go elsewhere, you would be freaking the frick out.

Correct. They already have an SEC loss to Miami and they won't get to play Georgia in the regular season, but now they have a chance that Georgia could lose some other games.

Makes about as much sense as the "what if we lose all of our RBs and don't sign any RBs to replace them?" discussion.
