Wife and I spent a weekend at the state park there a couple years ago. We enjoyed the area. The state park may be an option for fans with campers.

Pretty neat little indoor flea market / antique store right outside the park.

Was able to buy a pair of General Admission ticket books today. Know nothing about USM general admission area. Anyone here from USM that knows if it is like standing room only or is it for the terrace area along the right field line?

For those asking about GA tickets, there are about 2000 GA tickets available. There is a terrace down the right field line where you can bring your own chair. I would get there very early to do that.

There is also the Right Field Roost. 40 parking spots inside the park where we basically tailgate and watch the game. You’ll find a lot of food, drink and hospitality if you wander out there - just don’t block anyone’s view.

This pic will help I hope.

The under 17 baseball showcase has pretty much eaten up the rooms. So much so that I don’t think the opposition will be staying in or around Hattiesburg. I have seen that 80+ select teams will be in Hattiesburg this weekend.

The one restaurant/bar that is not getting any mention is Patio44. That’s my favorite. It’s also less than a mile from the stadium. Amazing food and high end bartenders.

I think Murky Watters BBQ is the only one you missed. Great list otherwise!

What kind of shape is Paul B Johnson in? You think it is worthwhile to pull the camper up there for the weekend?

Why are USM fans worse than, LSU fans? Didn't think that was possible. But here we are

Was down there about 6 months ago for a birthday party and it was nice. Would definitely be my first option if I had a camper.

You just wished for a tornado or hurt to destroy a college baseball field as a latech fan.

Look in the mirror.

Leathas had the worst service. Won’t be going back. The food is okay. If you go with the attitude “the service will be terrible” you won’t be disappointed. ??

Yes, I’m a Hattiesburg resident. Patio 44 has the best food in town, since Cotton Blues shut down (Covid victim).

Yeah, the old loveshack needed major upgrades. Just like that park in Hattiesburg.
