Felt bad for her but was proud that she is a Tiger and an american. She is the definition of class and grace.

i'd agree with that

i would prefer my family member be a first class individual than an olympic champion...no doubt

It's a shame she did not medal, but it surely allowed her class to shine through.
She is still probably the fastest in that event.
...hope she gets another chance at it.

Not to make light of it, but I guess that's why they still run the race...because things can happen.

Sorry she lost, but her class surely made me proud.

They'll probably replay it a lot on highlights segments during the NBC coverage ... and maybe check on the MSB.

LSUFan is that your thing, posting a counter argument each time, then following up with lame analysis to prove it? What a joke. You get what these other posters are saying about how she is a class act and acted as a Champion should. We know she is not the official "Chamipion" because she didn't win the race (but thanks for pointing that out to us as we didn't realize that).

Think about it next time you want to do a lame post and just move on...

counter argument? i agreed with Lolo Jones. The writer of the article and the original posters are the ones who aregued with the original statement.

that is great, but her acts and interviews don't make her a champion...her races do

she knows it, i know it, i would bet most other olypmians know it...why can't others believe it too?

why does the author of the story, the original poster and you feel so obliged to tell an olympic athlete her throughts on a champion are wrong?

oh, i see now. there is a difference between a "champion" and an "official champion"

got it

thanks for pointing that out

i'm not quite sure why so many people here have such a problem with those who disagree with their statements?

i mean, if all you want to do is talk to people who will agree with you....why do you come here?

i never said she wasn't a great athlete or that she isn't probably the best in her chosen sport...she is. and has proved it, BUT she isn't a champion. champions win the race.

she obviously seems like a great person, but none of us really know her, and her actions and character should be commended...but thats it

tony dungy shouldn't be called a super bowl champion every year b/c he is a swell guy. championships are won on the field/track/rink/court/etc etc etc, not awarded for behavior

probably

are you just incapable of adding anything of value to this conversation or simply just chosing not to?

which is it?

i'll rephrase the question so it might be easier to understand.....is your brain dead or are you just brainless?

wonder why she ran with shades on and if that affected her vision?

Although this sounds dumb, in the 100m the hurdles come at you so quick it really isn't a question of vision more than timing. She has run in those same conditions with those same shades before and dominated.

She's easily the best in the world at the 100m hurdles, she just caught a bad break in this particular race (which unfortunately just so happens to be the most viewed and critiqued race over a 7 year time frame.

Lolo May not be Olympic Champion in the 110 meter hurdles, but she is by far the most beautiful 7th place ever!!!!!!

Jason David is always a class act, does that make him a champion?
