Are there even a lot of UT fans in Austin? I thought it was a bunch of millenials who white-flighted there after college to "find themselves" among other zany cultured (alcoholic) millenials.

People in Austin have been horrid the past 5 years. It is essentially what happened to Denver when weed was legalized.

I really don’t believe that’s true most fans attempted to make me feel that we were the ones with self inflated opinions of our team. I honestly at one point said to myself
“frick who is the crazy one here”?

Should have never had a doubt.

I have a couple of good friends\co-workers that were pretty chill immediately after the game only blaming their defensive backfield, but have become more and more bitter with each passing day since.

As soon as the game was over I hit one of my UT friends with a text that said “Well at least you beat Georgia last year!”

already thinking forward to early next year, when i can wear my Nat’l Title gear after we win it all, and next September when we beat UT again in Baton Rouge.

Don't forget:

On Saturday, Jan. 25, the Texas Longhorns and LSU Tigers will tip off at the Erwin Center at 1 p.m. Central on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, the network revealed on Thursday.

I expected to have lots of fun at the game and did. I was shocked at how hostile and how much they hated us. They really really hate us. It was like going to Gainesville. It was very odd. And then all the little things with AC and cheerleaders. It was weird. I feel like they could be a rivalry and we could really hate each other. Most Texas people seem nice. It was very shocking to me all the verbal abuse and DBU obsession that they had. Very surprised

We went and tailgated but didn't attend the game. Most UT fans told us good luck pre-game and were very nice. I think they really expected to win.

We went back to our guests home to watch so I wasn't on campus post game. Out guests are LSU fans and live way out on Lake Travis.

We had a great time but my guess is the UT people were crushed. We look forward to hosting them next year.

Geaux Tigers!!!

Jesus Christ y’all. I have not experienced that at all. My UT grad sister was sad they lost but said “Better to lose a game like this than play a cupcake.” A friend of mine who gave me shite the whole week before and I had a fun conversation ribbing each other and then set up a plan to catch a movie in a couple of weeks.

Sounds like you all are looking for disgruntled fans and you’re finding them.

No mention of it for days, until I hit him up. If LSU had lost, I’d have sent congrats right afterwards.

My sister (no pics) went to Auburn and it’s the same way with her. Auburn beats us and I’ll send her a congratulatory text, LSU wins and I get crickets.

I posted this in another thread earlier today, but it's true here as well.

UT is probably the ultimate representation of the self-centered trophy wife—loyal to the Big 12 only as long as there is money in the account for fur coats (or cutting edge athletic facilities).

UT is an absolutely faithless, spoiled, and self-indulgent whore of a school.

I'm not surprised. This game was huge for them to tell the country they're back. (I don't want to see Ehlinger say it anymore). This hit their pride really deep.

Texas' motto is "They hate and look down on everybody that isn't UT."

My daughter goes to OU. She could have gone to UT (I was pushing LSU, but she didn't want to be 8 hours away. LSU's loss, OU's gain), but she had older friends that went and left UT and transferred out to OU because of the snide remarks and snarkiness on UT's campus from so many.
