People from Louisiana don't like to hear it, but Texas is a better academic university. That is why I go there and not LSU. But football and other sports wise, I cheer for LSU all the way.

I thought the student section at Saturdays game was the worst since my first game there in 2016 against Notre Dame. Kind of feel like the kids in Texas don't like football as much as at LSU for sure. The older alumni do still, but football is dying out because of the lack of success maybe? Idk. I remember when we had orientation, the dean asked if anyone knew the Texas vs USC score and I was the only one that did. I kind of feel like if you love your team you will remember scores like that right off the bat. I'm sure many remember the LSU vs OU BCS score and LSU vs OSU.

I’ve had more A&M fans come up to me and congratulate us on the win than Texas. They all seemed to love our win more than we did lol

Not surprised. Texans are an entitled, arrogant bunch. Legends in their own minds

We got lucky and had great seats. Heard a LOT of disparaging talk from UT fans about Louisiana (surprised at our ability to spell "Tigers" after TDs, etc.). I went to law school at LSU and have my misgivings about Louisiana's infrastructure and education, but Texas is in NO position to cast aspersions. Their s**t is bottom end nationally, and they have waaaaay more resources to prevent being as crappy as they are in health, education, poverty, murder/crime rates, etc. They are the 2nd largest state in the country and they have A PART-TIME LEGISLATURE THAT TAKES A F***ING YEAR OFF AT A TIME!!!!!

The fans around us talked smack; especially during the cramping episodes.

When it was over, a few of them shook our hands and said “great game” and agree with the hype that Burrow should be in the Heisman discussions.

All in all, it wasn’t as bad as my trip to Athens for the UGA games in the past.

What none of us knew was the locker room issues. That’s a classless move and Texas should be ashamed of themselves.

The band being on the upper deck was also a gutless move.

And their AD is still coming out and putting his foot in his mouth.

Of course, some of our fans are prank calling their players and coaches. At least I guess they are. I wouldn't put it past them to say that is going on in a desperate effort to counter how petty they were with the A/C issue and putting the band up in the nosebleed.

"Academic" is a misnomer in 2019. It's a liberal campus and community. The courses that earn credit hours nowadays could be labeled suspect and ideologically partisan. I'm sure they feel great about themselves and enjoy condescending to the masses to their East. We were there at the Alamo, though. And, in Austin last Saturday night !

Living in Florida, I need the Tigers to beat the Gators every year. I don’t want to be congratulated, I just want them to shut the frick up.

This is it. I have a colleague who is Mr. UT but he can't stand the way things have changed.
He said UT wants to be just like Stanford.
Kids at Stanford don't go to the football games.
Lack of success doesn't help but not the entire reason.

know it was a close game and know in hindsight no about of money would have been to much to be there in person especially since I live here and we got the results we all wanted. I enjoyed that Burrow wiped those smug arse grins of their faces more than you can ever know. Since the game I’ve had very few Longhorn fans congratulate on the the game even close friends I talk to quite a bit. I said this before I’ve been here for 14 years and knew they were arrogant but now after that game I see it even more. The baseball fans were/ are different it seems because I didn’t see this side. We hit them where it hurts and they as delusional as they can be are completely surprised and have no idea how to be classy and say “good game”. I’m not speaking for all of them but most IMO and experience since the game.

I don't know why our fan base needs to feel like the world is against us but that hasn't been my experience at all here in Austin. All of my friends congratulated me and said the team looks really good and they were incredibly impressed with LSU. I have no idea what people you've been talking to because after the game I probably talked to at least a hundred UT fans and they were as congratulatory as they could be.
