There is NO POSSIBLE situation where LSU can roster or play these guys for the foreseeable future without risking penalties, etc being retroactively applied.
but if this happens then we just go to court again right?

Yes because a judge ruled they could at this moment in time. If they want to go back and retroactively try… go for it sure. Right here right now they rostered and play.

That has to happen.

Sweet summer child, no.

It’s probably not 5 percent of the longest thread ever.

No, but it’s already one of the most legendary.

Also says that if an sec school can't control their fans, and the fans storm the field, then the school gets fined. Therefore, if the sec can't follow an order from the judge then the sec should get fined.

Not even longer than a GameDay Brian Kelly meltdown thread

I’m gonna be willing to bet the worst problem LSU faces once these guys are eligible are pussy arse teams like ole Miss threatening to protest playing the matchup. If that’s the case I could be wrong but LSU gets the auto W

Depends on the order from this judge..he can enjoin the sec and ncaa from rule of restitution
And that can be appealed. So it changes nothing.

Tony Clayton's turn. He adopted statements made by previous attorney.
He brought up the statement by the sec about punishing teams that play NFL players and said that is a punishment for these players in reaction to the court's order.
He brought up the Alabama lawsuit and said that is a punitive lawsuit intended to diminish this judges order.
A few more points he made but that's the jist of it.

It wouldn't count towards the season record

They have to post the roster for Game 1 in Friday. They do not have to post game 2 roster until the following Friday.

It’s the only possible conclusion. Just say it’s over, and it will be
I’m not so sure it would end the federal lawsuit though. The way it was filed in the middle of today’s hearing could mean they were giving LSU every opportunity to give up on this before it was done. And they want to set a precedent about the conference’s rights on future issues like this. That’s a big part of the self-governance they’ve been offering as an alternative to the Save College Sports Act. Now does that mean they’d come down hard on LSU? Maybe not as hard but what they are alleging would have already occurred by LSU no matter what happens now. This would be a test case in other words.
