Don't give the rant that much credit. If the rant had half the power that they think they have Oregeron would have never been hired and Alleva would have been long gone.

I'm not saying the rant "made" the hire. But I seriously doubt Ogeron had a guy he never met, worked with, or had any connections with LSU whatsoever, tops on his list of OC's. Plan A fell through and Ogeron hired the guy the fans wanted.

Or maybe he reached out to one of the hottest OC names in the nation, brought him in for an interview and decided to hire him.

The fact the people actually believe that Oregeron heard about Canada because of the rant shows the IQ of this place.

The rant did not make up that part about Alleva needing to take the almost unprecedented action of calling a meeting between his head coach and his offensive coordinator to air things out after the Troy game.

The rant did not make up the quotes from Orgeron about Canada possibly leaving which quotes were devoid of any praise for Canada or sentiment that LSU needs to do what is necessary to keep him.

Its normal for all good coordinators to be the subject of head coaching searches. No big deal there. What is not normal is all the reports of friction we hear about Canada and Orgeron that appear to be true to some degree.

Some people at Alabama wrote off the reported friction between Saban and Kiffin as being media and message board created.

I for one do not think the reported friction between our head coach and offensive coordinator is fiction fueled by rant conspiracy theorists.

How bad it is, I dont know. I like how Canada's offense evolved, but it is a very bad dynamic going forward if these two do not get along. Every loss LSU has going forward where the offense struggles at the least will ignite this controversy.

If they truly cant get on the same page, its best to move on. Is it at that point now? I don't know, but I am quite certain Alleva and Orgeron know the rumors and neither has come forward to endorse the view their preference that Canada stays.

How easy would it be to issue a statement that LSU supports Coach Canada in his efforts to be a head coach but very much hope he will be at LSU next year?

I don't doubt the pinamsky stuff. People came out of the woodwork to defend o before his first loss that all created accounts after ponamsky was named his rt hand man.

Plus Ed has sat there and lied his fricking arse off about everything we've bitched ab for 11 years saying he would do it diff.

No doubt that's ponamsky. He reads these boards and had a radio call in show. Easy to get a feel on what frustrates the fan base.

Oh my bad, I haven't seen one post on kiffin coming as OC. I've seen the Canada stuff, but there seemed to be an issue early in. Canada has had issues in the past, hes jumped around.

Then media noted the rice thing. So, I don't think the fans pulled Canada leaving out of thin air. But maybe point out multiple posts saying kiffin to LSU... Last year, yeah. You'd be a dumb arse to think he'd come be the oc at LSU when he's a head coach.

He'd take eds job for sure, but not the oc job.
