This is basically a strawman. You’ve got a huge group of diverse people. Chances of 1-3 people saying soming out of left field is pretty high. That doesn’t mean collectively as a group even a majority are thinking the same thing.

Maybe so...maybe not. It seems more reasonable to believe that Oregeron heard of Canada from:

1- his own research
2- opinions of other trusted coaches
3- a hired firm that searches for coaches

Hell, maybe Canada reached out to LSU some kind of way.

Bottom line though, Oregeron DID NOT make a decision to hire a coach based on the idiots on this message board.

The meeting had positive results. I'm confused why people are hell bent on making this meeting out to be more than it was. Was it out of the ordinary? Sure. But was it detrimental to our program? Absolutely not, we went 6-1 after that meeting.

How bad it is, I dont know. I like how Canada's offense evolved, but it is a very bad dynamic going forward if these two do not get along. Every loss LSU has going forward where the offense struggles at the least will ignite this controversy.

If they truly cant get on the same page, its best to move on. Is it at that point now? I don't know, but I am quite certain Alleva and Orgeron know the rumors and neither has come forward to endorse the view their preference that Canada stays.

Show me one article that states that O and Canada hate each other. Link anything that isnt derived from this site. I'm sure they did bump heads when we started 3-2, coaches have egos and both of their heads were on the line. Since we were able to bounce back and win 6 out of 7 games to finish the year, I'd say they figured out how to work together.

Saban yelled at kiffin every single week on national television yet they won NCs together. CEO and CMC don't have to be best friends, they just have to coexist.

Here is the reality. CMC wants to be a HC. If he is offered a job, he is gone. If he doesn't get a HC job then he will be back next year. Plain and Simple.
