Michigan State never won a national championship under Saban nor have they ever (at least not in football in the past sixty plus years of my life).
You forgot all of the stupid comments made publically without thinking them through. One day he wants a Pro Style Offense, the next he wants dual-threat QBs. Doesn't think before he opens his mouth. How many pages in that friggin binder were simply blank?

Disclaimer: I think the future of LSU football is bleak under the leadership of the current administration and head football coach.
I won’t blame O for playing Etling as Etling gave the team the best chance of winning games this season. Watching Brennan, you can see he has skills, but he simply wasn’t ready.
Etling gave this team everything he had (admittedly, limited), but was tough as nails, showed strong leadership and didn’t turn the ball over. If they played Brennan, you would have seen more sacks, turnovers and your interception rate would have gone up. All translating to more losses and then we would be criticizing O for losing more games than he already did.
I find a lot objectionable with O, but not the QB decision this season.

Not getting Kiffin is a good thing.
Orgeron wasn't meddling in the offense outside of a single game.
I haven't seen someone link where Orgeron announce Canada was leaving.
Absolutely no one thinks that playing Etling was a mistake.

Take from this O quote what you want relative to his thoughts on Canada’s status with the team.
It wasn’t a definitive statement about his future like “he’s our guy”, “he’s going to be here”, etc.

“Matt right now is our offensive coordinator and he’ll call the game.”

What a shitty list and waste of your time.

didn't say he was, but my response was aimed at the comment of why we'd hire a coach that still needed to learn. well, outside of Jimbo, all the other coaches our fans wanted to target had no experience running major programs and were young, thus they supported hiring a coach that needed to learn on the job, just not if that coach's name was ed orgeron

quote:
he sells a list of goods saying that he had changed and would hire awesome coordinators and let them coach without interfering
Not a mistake; a lie.

announces before bowl game that canada is gone
He never did this.

50+ morons down voted you. Amazing.
Even the purblind will eventually see that 0 as HC is a disaster.

Great post if conjecture, misinformation, and personal bias is your thing.

he said we were a championship team before the season, then goes on to say we need juco players after they lose. As if the current ones werent good enough. He didnt even have a feel for this team. And he was the freaking recruiting coordinator.
