I agree that a 1 year post-season ban and some loss of scholarships won't deter many coaches from coming, but what if it's a 3 year post-season ban and scholarship reductions for 5 seasons? Will we be able to find a coach willing to take that chance?

I'd like to put my vote in for Todd Golden HC at USF (San Francisco). Lots of great coaching videos of him on YouTube.

There is very little chance the ban would be that long. Zona only got 1 year. Max 2 years for LSU but really think 1 year is most likely.

I've stopped melting yet reserve the right to start it back up depending on the hire. If we end up with a hire the level of Konkol or Kennedy I'll know we're fricked and melt back on.

Hire Todd Golden from San Francisco. He has done a great job rebuilding a program long dead.
Do not hire the Murray State HC. Every HC at Murray State has won big. That guy had nothing to rebuild.
The next LSUHC will have a major rebuild to do over 2-3 years. Hire Golden and give him a 6-year contract.

Give Golden a 6-year contract at $2.5 million per and give him the 2-3 years he will need to rebuild LSUMBB.
