What's funny about this is that only this clip surfaced of Hill punching the guy. Not of the previous altercations that has the guy on the ground, reason for torn shirts, Girl yelling for the guy to stop.

Obviously way more happened and I agree a sucker punch is a bitch move(one of my friend hit another one of my friends like that). What do you guys think this is? That was a big dude and the punch didn't even fully connect. If one single punch could knock out a dude that big, then whoever threw it needs to become a boxer.

But if the same thing were to have happened to you while you were wearing your company shirt then for sure posted on YouTube then one of your coworkers finds it what would happen?
2-4 games should be fine but he doesn't give two shits about TCU UAB or Kent State so it would mean nothing to him and don't be surprised if something else happens before he leaves ala TM and RP which would really screw us over

I don't think Hill was even involved in this before the sucker punch.

How can you tell this from the video? A lot of shite happened before that guy started his camera.

If you are on probation, you go to a bar and sucker punch someone and it's caught on videotape, you deserve whatever they throw at you.

I didnt assert that doing something dumb isnt putting yourself in a precarious position. I stated that the likelihood of the average student at LSU throwing one punch in tigerland getting arrested is next to none. Hill did something dumb. However, unlike the person I responded to, it is being taken this far because Hill is the running back from LSU. Any average student, like in the situation presented by the previous poster, in this same position goes home free no matter what their record is.

Soo...basically you're saying kick him off the team. He's not coming back in 2014 regardless.

If it's videotaped and someone wants to press charges, I wouldn't bet on it. Things have changed over the past 5-6 years.

That why I said I "think" that's what happens. Not sure it did. JMO

How can anyone say Hill was involved before the sucker punch? You can't. All you can do is speculate.

I would like to think if Hill and this dude had beef, they'd kind of be closer to each other and not so far apart in that one of them could sucker punch the other

Anybody on probation that is videoed throwing 1 punch that doesn't even put a guy down isn't going to jail.

eta: And wtf kind of medical bill is $375? Seems like a weird figure to make him pay.

Fair enough.

I'm not saying that (I don't think anyone else is). But I'm not long to assume that Hill saw a scuffle and decided to involve himself unprovoked.

On probation for a misdemeanor? He isn't going to jail or getting kicked out of school.

Dude probably didn't have medical insurance. Sounds about right for a 30 min visit to the ER.

I don't want the dude babysitting my kids, but I'm ok with him playing on my favorite team.

Some of the people in this thread need to realize that if we want to be a top team, we gotta have a few tPOS.

What he does after his suspension is his own decision. You don't factor in which year a player happens to be in when deciding consequences. Freshman or Senior should have no bearing what so ever.

I suppose.

It just seems a little disingenuous to call if a one year suspension. Like saying 25 years for an 80 yo isn't a life sentence.

People who are unequivocally defending Hill are idiots.

People calling him scum and saying if he isn't kicked off the team, they will never cheer for LSU again are also idiots.

Bottom line - he made a stupid fricking mistake. He should have known the added pressure/standards that come with being in the limelight (not to mention his probation). That said, this is nowhere near grounds for jail time or for being kicked off the team. Suspend him for 3 games, make him run pukes, make him carry everyone's shite. Make him feel like the dipshit that he is. But kick him off the team? Jail time? frick off with that. We have THE most self-righteous fans in the universe, and this thread shows it.
