Well, that certainly makes it very difficult to believe JT didn't know. One guy was arrested at the time or shortly thereafter according to some news articles. The incident involved an armed robbery.

Nothing good ever comes out of something like this. All it does is paint the university in a negative spotlight and makes the coaching staff look like complete imbeciles who have no idea how to discipline their players and keep them out of trouble.
This is a problem that goes back all the way to when Miles was coaching here. Kelly has done absolutely nothing to change it. Lacy, Holly, and now this kid.
For all the big talk that Kelly has done regarding how he plans to keep his players in line, he sure as hell isn’t backing it up.

I’m not talking about court. I’m saying that, as far as who we want on the football team, all that matters is that he did know, not whether they can prove it. Common sense will tell anyone he knew.

That was my understanding from what I’d heard—but maybe that’s wrong because I don’t see his name on there. In any event, everyone involved here knew or knew of each other.

Kid went to ash with JT, and played middle school ball. Just not last season/high school. It’s not like it’s made up from nothing.
And besides, my initial point was that all of these people knew each other, making it ridiculous to believe JT didn’t know what these guys were wanted for when he stayed at their place.

I don’t feel bad for anyone that stupid and irresponsible.
He was given a lottery ticket (a scholarship position at the home state school) which only 12-14 kids from Louisiana get each year. With that scholarship comes responsibility and accountability to the school and the football program. His choice made the school, the program, and the state look bad. When given an opportunity like he was given, much is expected.
He made a really stupid choice to house murdering fugitives in his dorm room. Don’t tell me he didn’t know what they did. Word spreads fast with news like that.
I’m not going to feel bad for anyone given what he was given and then make a really stupid decision to throw it all away.

Something tells me that your son isn’t a part of this particular social group. Not sure where the shooters went, but they were clearly boys with JT. Another one of the shooting victims recently graduated from or attended Peabody. It wasn’t a random robbery/murder/shooting.
But besides all that—LSUPD has a snitch saying Lindsey knew about why these guys were hiding out. All I’m saying is that the notion that Lindsey was in the dark on these guys doesn’t hold water.

And I corrected it in my post. The football part probably just grew out of people saying they were both at ASH, which is true.
