LS was a reach as a recruit. We were his only SEC offer and that was as Plan B when other options didn't materialize. He got his chance and didn't like where he stood so he decided to leave. That's the whole story. Glad he's doing well in Skooba. But it's Skooba, ladies, Skooba, Ms.

I'm sure Jones County Community College is right up to SEC caliber.

If you watched Scott in the game, he was miraculous. Scott's game at EMCC was just featured on ESPN, he possesses a great deal of talent and leadership. Scott, got in his team's faces when the team fell behind, he led them to victory, big-time!............True Tiger Tale from Zachary, Louisiana...........East Mississippi Community College

Those LSJ Entourage Worshippers gonna continue to Worship.

He apparently didn't show that miraculous talent and leadership to Ed Orgeron and Matt Canada in practice at LSU of the SEC.

To be fair to Scott, he wasn't really LSU's primary option when he was recruited. I've played college baseball and I've seen kids not as highly recruited at positions not getting a fair opportunity to win a position. That's just how it goes. I'm pretty sure he didn't get that chance at LSU, whether it was the amount of snaps behind center or one on one time with the coaches.

It's just like that woman that you are enamored with. She's beautiful, great body etc but when it comes down to it, that's all she's got, No substance, and then you realize you let the best woman go who would been the best all around girl.

Maybe that was scott. I feel for the kid because I've seen situations like his first hand. Because of his initial recruiting, height, etc, I don't believe he felt he had an opportunity to win the job.

It is fascinating how upset people are about Scott

He was undersized and limited from a physically gifted standpoint...for the SEC. Everyone KNEW that if he went to a Sun Belt team, a 1AA team, or a JUCO team he would kill it. Is this really a surprise? Because the #2 JUCO team beat an unranked team and put up dumb offensive numbers?

C'mon guys...this shite is getting ridiculous and the threads need to stop

This would hold more weight if it wasn't a completely different offensive staff coming in. He had a shot to impress Canada, ultimately the other QBs on the roster did better.

It is what it is. I'm sure he'll end up at an FAU or somewhere next year and will get his college degree.

He will end up at a decent school in a year and do good I'm sure. Just not against SEC level talent.

Or maybe Myles Brennan and Lowell Narcisse are just better? 3 years ago Lowell was a top 5 qb in the country prior to injuries, and Brennan has a cannon attached to his shoulder with moxy and poise to go along with it.

Jonathan Franklin III scored 6 TDs in a half at EMCC

He couldn't beat out JJ of Sean White at Auburn.

He wasn't even as good as a kid who finished EMCC and then just walked on at Miss St.

I'm sorry but if you can't beat out two incoming freshmen and then decide to quit and pack it up....see ya

Truth be known the issue was simply political. All the coaches that recruited Scott are gone. CEO and Canada were and are more focused on the two they recruited heavily in this class and also what they are recruiting for next classes. CEO and MC were not at all concerned with Etling, McMillan, or Scott. They are focused on the future. They want Etling to get them through this season and move on to the new guys.

This is simply human nature. Time will tell whether it was a collosal mistake or a mere forgotten footnote.

Do you know why he transferred? Because he knew he wouldn't beat out the guys ahead of him

Excuse me, but not everyone in MS are rednecks. In the town where I live, there are more Louisianians than Mississippians. We call it North N.O. It feels good here to me. Now I'm not the only one in Picayune, MS that bleeds purple and gold. I've been an LSU fan since the days of Pistol Pete, and for a long time, the only LSU fan here in Picayune (that I know of). We do have some rednecks that still admit they follow MSU and Ole Piss.

Geaux Tigers! and beat that BYU @$$!

The second string QB is always the most popular guy in town. But LSJ was fourth string. Enough is enough.

But in this case they are. That team is loaded with guys who were bluechip recruits before getting in trouble, failing out, or transferring looking for a better opportunity

Not true. They have 2 power 5 transfers, and a handful of mid majors. 2 blue chip guys. But so did their opponent Jones Community College. Mississippi JUCOs collectively are the SEC of JUCO nationally. Savian Smith is at MSGCC who I think they play next week.
