Like today's batting order with one exception. Move Bregman to 8 hole AND keep him there. If so, I believe he will get hot and experience less stress ... He does not need to carry this team on his back ... They will carry him ... Before you know it, however, I bet Bregman will make a come-back IF hitting way down the lineup ...

He can ride the pine and it would be impossible to get worse offensively

Today proved that it doesn't matter where he hits in the lineup, teams will approach him the same way. He's got to start sitting back on that off speed stuff and for god sakes, hook up with a 400 lber this week

Yeah because bregmans defensively capabilities are equivalent to Stevenson's.

It doesn't matter how the treat him. It matters how he produces.

My advice: stay off twitter, and he'll probably hit. No twitter is his fat bitch.

I agree, my point is....people keep saying move him down and production will increase. My question is, regardless of where he is hitting in the lineup, if he is being treated the same, why would his production suddenly increase?

FWIW, I hope he goes on a crazy tear, but I'm not sure moving down in the order is necessarily the answer

In Bregmans last at bat he watched 2 fastballs for strikes. He isn't just seeing offspeed. In regards to today's lineup I think you have to break up the 5 straight lefties. Maybe swap scivique and Fraley

At this point, with his swings at everything, he would tell you himself that he's hardly satisfied. For the team's prospects, move him to 8 hole ... Then, I bet, he will eventually snap out of it and will resurrect his ole self ...

I knew somebody would bring up his last at bat.

What do you think he was lookin for when he watched those two fastballs sail right down the pipe?

Pitchers are throwing so much crap at him that he is completely confused. One of the biggest mistakes a hitter can make when they are in a slump is overthink. I can almost guarantee that's what AB did in that last at bat.

He needs to crowd the plate
Pitchers pitch to the outside of the plate and he swings at junk

Not sure how starting for LSU or any elite program in any spot is considered an insult. And you must be using "good hitter" loosely. That may be what his potential is. But to say that's what he IS, is completely inaccurate at the moment.

Bregs is a great kid and plays with passion ... He will turn it around if Coach helps him ... by placing him in the lineup where his current play is not as large a consequence as hitting in the 3-hole implies. Hit him 8th for some time to come and you'll see a positive change ...

Well then it's ok to move Bregman there.

Bregs has to make his own mental change. He is not being selective at all and his approach is not good. Until that changes it does not matter where you hit him.
