what does he have to play for? He's a top 5 draft pick. Why risk making the injury worse?

Because he enjoys playing football. Injuries happen, it won't prevent him from a successful NFL career.

Tyrann was made the highest paid safety in the league after two ACL injuries.

AP was the best RB in the League last year a decade into his NFL career, with 2 knee surgeries.

Gurley tore his knee his money year in college, still went top 15 and had a great rookie year.

LF is already weeks into his recovery, recovery from a high ankle sprain. It'll be ok...

It's amazing that miles thought some scrimmage was so important for Leonard to play in. Then he didn't let him properly heal! Les should have never played him in those first few games.

What a waste and another gross mismanagement by Les.

But. There is word on the street that his lack of playing isn't entirely driven by injury

Hear the pretty much the same thing after the Auburn loss.

This is the Rantiest thread I've seen on here in a good while, which is really saying a lot given current events. You could distill essence of ranter from a printout of the first page alone. LF7 will never play another down for us, maybe evar!!!!!!!

It's a high ankle sprain, he will be good by Ole miss. Those ankle sprains typically take a little longer to heal. I think everyone is jumping to conclusions because of how he is acting on the sideline but I would be pretty bummed too if I saw my Heisman hopes go down the drain.

if he isn't practicing for OM, then you all can start speculating

he was in the last series against auburn and was hit on his other ankle...why can't we speculate now?

I will never have an issue with LF. IF he is "nursing" an injury to keep himself healthy for the draft I am fine with that. We lost 2 games and he has no shot at the Heisman...if he is looking out for his future that is perfectly understandable.

I really wouldn't care either

I was talking to all the people that are already speculating that he is going to sit out the rest of the season based off this week

if he is not 100%, it would be retarded for him to play this week

Take this fwiw, but this is coming from a guy in the east who's friends with LF's dad, Dookey. Fournette will play in two games. Vs Bama "full throttle" and Ole Miss seems to be the other one. Shall they win out through these he will keepe playing to help the team win the SEC. But he will continue to sit when it doesn't matter. They want to beat Bama and he will play at 100%.
Also, they aren't fans of Coach O.

I agree and also think that goes for the rest of the season.

I really don't think the plan is to save him for bama though. Why save him for the team that bottles him up with ease? That is the game he should sit out

I would love to see him running in an LSU uniform again before he goes pro, but I think they need to not let him back on the field until he is fully healed. 100%. No reason to risk his future for if he is only at 90%.

He's healthy according to his Dad. They want Bama, bad. He will go "full throttle" vs Bama.
Apparently they're sitting him until possibly Ole Miss, but you will see him in an LSU uniform again against Bama for sure.

I have no idea if what you are saying is true, but if it is, I don't have much respect for it

He shouldn't just get to pick which games he plays

If he wants to play, play, if he doesn't, sit the rest of the season and let Guice become the next star

A very frustrated sounding Orgeron when asked about his status..."I don't know...next question". What does that tell you? I'll be shocked if he plays another down in an LSU uniform.

CEO's comments seem to say a lot.

First, before Missouri, CEO made a comment about walking down the hill gets guys juiced up and LF7 might play. That tells you ceo didn't think the injury was that big a deal.

Next, Ceo has said LF7 was day to day since the week before Missouri. That tells you what CEO thinks about it.

Don't forget LF7 parents had meetings with Miles to discuss his future and how many carries he got a game, etc. Then it just happens the week after Miles gets fired LF7 gets a day to day injury and hasn't practiced since?

I don't know guys, CEO seems frustrated in the above comments. LF7 might feel betrayed by LSU since they fired his buddy Miles who made promises to him since he was in middle school. He might be done. It might be time for CEO to have one of those meetings with LF7 parents.

LF7 owes LSU nothing.... he won't play if he doesn't want too or hurt in any way. I seem to know a player named Myles Jack that got picked in the 2nd after quitting the season. Leanord will be drafted regardless if he plays or not

I doubt he looks anything better than average against Bama...what does he expect? 200 yards and 3 touchdowns? Yea, I'd hold my breath all season for that. Nothing against LF, he's a hoss...but Bama's waiting all season to show what they're made of against him as well...again.
