He had a gun.

Team Sweep definitely won that round.

Respectfully disagree. Frankly, I do not see how Miles could have done anything other than what he did.

I think your letter makes some good points. Jordan has represented LSU well thru some tough times. He has had to learn on the job. He was not supposed to be the QB when he was thrown into the mix. But the departure of Ryan Perrilloux and Jarrett Lee's early trouble forced him into duty. He did the best he could. He hasn't been a hothead or been in trouble before. Why is he not being given the benefit of the doubt? The only non-football player we know about in this rukus is a hothead. I am not condemning him: he appears to have personal problems that he will need to deal with. If this situation had to be judged on that dimension alone, then Jordan should be given the benefit of the doubt. I agree he should be reinstated. It may be a distraction at first, but Auburn managed Cam Newton's distractions last year. LSU could do the same for Jordan Jefferson. He committed to the university and had given his all to this team. The team and the university should be standing by him at this time.

I honestly don't remember anyone saying this. JJ is charged with a felony, which is a serious crime. Unfortunately, he will have to go through the criminal process before we learn his fate. It will be unfortunate if he is exonerated, but the institution of LSU cannot allow a player, whoever it is, charged with a felony to represent the university...especially under a national spotlight.

Do I believe BRPD has gone overboard with this? You bet. Even so, the charge is still a felony.

a fake ID in Louisiana is not a felony.

We can argue the Jefferson situation all day.

But anyone arguing that Jefferson's action, if true as alleged, is a more serious than the things Perrilloux did while he was here, is out of their fricking mind.

The charge will never see light of day in a court room as a felony. imo

Like a player or not, but losing your last year over a bar room fight where all parties walk away when you have no history of being a problem child before is more than a little going off the deep end. imo

Can LSU allow Jefferson to play under the regulations of the NCAA? Yes, there are no NCAA or LSU regulations which prohibit this action.

Should LSU allow Jefferson to play? That's LSU decision and, given the circumstances, I don't think Miles or LSU deserves criticism either way.
I can't disagree with this.

"If true as alleged" would mean being part of an angry mob pulling someone out of their vehicle, beating them causing serious injury, and then beating a marine who tried to help into unconsciousness and then continuing to beat him causing injury. Seems a tad serious. Just saying.

If you don't reply to the posts, it will just go away soon. Let the game starts and no more distractions, Tiger fans.

Probably much less, but you know how Jefferson bashers can be . . .

Agreed. Still not as serious ad Perrilloux's actions.

And obviously those allegations are somewhat false.

I'm only speaking to the charge or arrest.

Was RP arrested for carrying/showing a weapon?

I don't recall.
