I know I’d be more inclined to help a kid who might actually graduate and do something to help society than a guy who will likely do neither

What do think Tre mogran is being paid for a gordon mckernan billboard? Who or what is Gordon bidding against to pay him anything substantial? Who outside of Louisiana even knows who Tre Morgan is?

No clue what Gordon pays tre morgan. A quick search on Instagram will show that he’s also got a deal with Diamond Kinetics which apparently has a deal with the MLB. He’s also got an NFT thing going on and ran his own baseball camp last year. I doubt he’s making a fortune, but he’s not a broke college kid either.

I’ve never said anyone would turn down a multi million dollar signing bonus. I specifically said it will just make the decision slightly a little easier since most top players will make enough money to support them through school.

There are some business owners in Louisiana who are more willing to put up the cash for baseball more so than football. NIL is huge for LSU baseball.

can you show any work on this or no

It’s game like Jobert just had where now he can take advantage of an LSU legend yelling out “Jo’Bomb” on national TV that can and will make these guys some money. T-shirts will be flying off the shelf.

Not only that but the LSU players could get together and start selling “gold jersey” rally items to make money for the entire roster and to rally the Tiger nation for a nice deep run. If we ride this momentum wave and continue to rake like we did this weekend going into the tourney and post season, this entire team could make a killing from it and show these top recruits just how lucrative it can be at LSU with a great product and post season.

Anything can happen. Hopefully they take advantage of it. Nothing like big time offense and fun watching baseball to get the national audience into it and to back your team! LSU has that national appeal, especially in baseball! I love the Jo’Bomb reference btw! Our boy “Big Ben” was advertising for an LSU regional host big time this weekend. I think he can sense a big gold jersey home field rally with this team and so can I. Let’s go Tigers!

No business, including the one I work for, is going to willingly put out their info until the kid is signed up for school and in an LSU uniform. There is no upside to that. Over the next season or 2, and this applies to all sports, fans will learn who the major NIL businesses are. I work for one that is heavily connected to LSU baseball and Kim Mulkey and maybe MBB.

No companies are going to openly show any of that right now. Just like how most other NIL deals aren’t being tied to a name.

I know there is a recruiting board but I believe these are no longer prospective recruits so we can discuss in the rant.

Wasn't this already discussed in the thread on the recruiting board?

Fair enough, I did not know you were directly involved or I wouldn't even ask.

Im sure you can answer this. Are they using the kids as a vehicle to make money or is it simply a pay to play type thing, in the guise of an endorsement?

How many ads with these players have you seen on your TV or in your social media feeds?

Not many. That’s why I am asking. There isn’t any money in baseball. If you are just a fan with money, you can simply pay these guys to play for your team, I get it.

But how much & how many can you fund is the question. And the early returns say not much

If anything the NIL money (baseball) could pay for their tuition at LSU.

If you are a top player why not go make a big signing bonus amount in college through NIL then make another big signing bonus amount from the MLB. 2 signing bonus amounts are better than 1!

I know there was talk about expanding the full scholarship limit and allowing more coaches on staff. Did any of this ever come to fruition?

I think Project talked about thinking Romero is much more likely to make it to campus than initially expected.

So you think Robby snelling is going to pass up $1.3mil to come do $5k autograph signings 3x a year at Anthony renaudos baseball card shop?

You still think autograph signings are the only way they make money? That's funny.
