likely.

In fact, we may not even look as good as they do. Warren and crew have underwhelmed all season.

LSUBeatles and crew will blame Trent for the drop in talent, and will say Brady sshouldn't have been fired. Not because there is any truth to it, but just because they are pretty stupid.

Hey moron, I did not wait till next year to tell you Brady should not have been fired. I have told you that from the beginning. Proof: His team is winning a 3rd SEC title this year. Get a clue, NEGATIGER

Well, IYO, who should be blamed for the drop in talent? There is no doubt that TJ is an excellent coach, however, he is the man at the top.

I hope and think TJ will do better next year than the Vols have done this year, though I expect a somewhat down year due to graduation.Could it be that Bruce Pearl and Trent Johnson just inherit good teams, or are they good coaches?

1. this is pearls 4th year at tennessee.

2. johnson inherited a team that is virtually the exact same team that went 13-17 and 6-10 last year.

Don't believe we can compare Trent "The Hawk" (isn't that what we agreed to call him) Johnson with TN. this year, but he better recuit somebody to score and quickly. They will struggle to be .500 next year in conference play with what the lose on the offensive side

This year's UT was predicted to have a very good season. They really only lost Lofton.

wrong. they lost Jajuan Smith, their 2nd leading scorer. they lost ramar smith, their starting point guard. and they lost duke crews, who would have started this year.

So when there is a talent excess (Saban-->Miles) we credit the previous regime. . .when there is a talent deficiency (Brady-->Johnson) we blame the current regime?

If there is a talent deficiency next year, that can't really be Trent's fault.

No, because I don't consider us the the "darling" of the SEC, just it's best team. If anything Jodie Meeks would constitute as the SEC's darling.

Also I don't expect anyone to pick us for the tourney next year, barring some recruiting miracle.

This is the same coach that was a HC at LSU once
Damn you, Joe Dean.

Well, if you hold Johnson to the same standard you always hold Brady there should be no difference in one year to the next. He should be able to locate just the right recruits ( after all we know there are unlimited prospects in Louisiana every year) to continue and even elevate the level of success.

Johnson did not inherit the same team relative to the schedule and relative to the health of key players.

While it is true they had Anthony Randolph last season, Tasmin Mitchell has contributed much more to this year's tea. Randolph certainly has the physical skills, but like most young players he did not begin to show any measure of consistency until late in the season after he had some experience at the college level. Taz has brought more consistency and maturity to the lineup and his stats are better.

All the endless Brady bashers will eat crow. Johnson isn't a "bad" coach - though I've yet to see any great strategic maneuvers or blunders. He's just really an unproven quantity.

Brady had some really awful luck down here - he inherited the NCAA obliterated roster, and all the problems. Yet, in a few years, LSU was being competitive and productive. He also suffered from his stalwart players leaving early for the draft, more than once.

Yet, so many of you guys bashed him endlessly. FYI - its his recruits that are winning now at LSU - something he ought to get some credit for.

Brady suffered what all coaches here suffer from - LSU flaky fickle syndrome.

A year from now, when LSU is 5 - 12 in the SEC, some of you same blowhards trumpeting how great Johnson is, will be the first to call for his head.

I don't think so, all impact recruits are spoken for, the best LSU can hope for is a couple big space filling JUCO guys that can give minutes. Johnson is working on good 2010 class however. Expect LSU to struggle next season, anything after that is gravy.

So winning at LSU in his 1st season, Stanford, and everywhere he's been is luck?

this is his and only his fault, either be a better person and these players are more likely to stay, or recruit some of these types of players and 4 year players to create depth, he didn't do that, he only got homeruns and stikeouts.

Trade Randolph for Taz and they coached the same team. You can't tell me the difference between those 2 players is as great as the difference in their conference records.

And that's all Brady's fault too is it? Why not blame him for global warming and the all the problems in the middle east, while we are it.

Its Arkansas State University - hardly a name that drums up recognition of Basketball greatness. I suppose your sorry arse thinks you could do better - well - you could not.

Brady did a damn good job overall despite being unfairly hamstrung from the get go - and all of it while coaching at a school where football is #1. #2, #3, and so on.

Good luck to Brady and best wishes is what I say - he went as far as the "legend" Brown did. And don't you think for one minute, that his beating number #1 Duke and #2 Texas in the NCAA tournament wasn't good coaching.

ONLY at LSU, just two years removed from a final four appearance, after beating #1 Duke no less, would one expect to be fired.

Flaky LSU administration - Flaky LSU fans!
