This is true but Quatermann and martin got paid well.

Maybe, maybe not. Coaches hire or give jobs to people to get in better with recruits. Been going on a long time. LSU didn't win with Simmons, so nobody cared anyway.

Two years ago when the first arrests happened at Louisville and Auburn, that was the first question I had. There is no way an objective observer would think that Johnny Jones would be able to prepare Simmons in any way for the league.
THis week, I've since seen lists of paid players include Quartermann and Martin. If we were paying those guys under JJ, we were paying Simmons.
