That said, I've had a really strong feeling and opinion that 50% of the women's basketball fans at LSU are only fans because of Kim Mulkey and her wardrobe fashion show she puts on during games. It's really weird and sad.
That could be why some people go, or started going to the games - I truly doubt it would be 50% - but I'd also venture to say that they kept going because it's a damn fun atmosphere, a great product, and an enjoyable evening. If it were just about the outfits, people can see what she wore on the news or online. If the outfits get attention and got some people there, who cares? It put butts in seats and they stayed.

The men have the potential to make more money. Not because of attendance, but because to television contracts and March Madness. Recently, the women's game has been drawing more eyes but it has not translated to new tv deals and bigger pay outs.
The television contracts are the money maker for football too.

Why would anyone not want to support them?
Let's just say... they don't exactly support many of us... or LSU students that were also supporting them despite .. differences.
Its tiring

Take this downvote lol. Cause who in the hell is coming to see Kim when you have the Flo master, MK, Fulwiley, and tons of other players including the freshman fitting any like they’ve been in the program for 2-3 years lighting teams up

Thanks, that makes sense. I am a very casual basketball fan. I used to follow it in the 1980s and 1990s.

I don’t care about Mulkey’s wardrobe, lol. I like her personally because she seems like a tough no nonsense coach. I’ve never watched a woman’s basketball game in my life before Mulkay came to LSU. I still don’t watch often but I watch them at the end of the season in the tournament. I’ll watch if it’s on TV sometimes. Mulkay is why I watch. I am a fan of her.

I’m a season ticket holder because of Mulkey. Her and Jay Johnson are hall of fame coaches that are capable of multitude of national championships

Have you ever watched women’s basket ball? I don’t care how “good” the team is. It is still hard to watch. Even at the pro level it is inferior to a good highschool boys game.

That is the same old tired take.
If you turn on men's basketball you will see so much traveling that dribbling appears to be optional and so many drama queen flops that you would swear that there were several career ending injuries and deaths per game.
