Anyone that disagrees with this has no business commenting on football. For some people he could have won 3 nattys and still sucked. Case in point the moron that said he hated him since the 1st game. He was a great coach that gave us some of the best years in LSU history. He didn't adjust so it was time to make a change.

Miles' accomplishments should not be minimized. Both did amazing things for our beloved teams. Most successful leaders will tell you that it's much tougher to sustain success rather than build it. Payton is a perfect example of how hard it is to sustain. Some of the best coaches in the history of football have said if you stay more than 8, 9, 10 years somewhere it's too long. You become much less effective over time.

Unfortunately both coaches are proving this point to be true.
