LSU is the superior team. No knock on UK, just that LSU is better than everyone this year. Y'all will have the advantage on Sunday so if you steal one of the first two a series win is highly possible.

What makes you say that? Our Sunday guy got beat around in 2 of his 3 sec starts, his era over the last 2 weekends-against 2 of the weaker SEC teams, is over 9. Not to mention our "plan B" guy was deemed "probably not available" for the weekend per the head coach. I like our chances of "stealing one of the first two" much better than our Sunday chances. I'd like to see Nola & Eades wrap up the series on Fri & Sat & take our chances without pressure of having to win on Sunday.

Not catching too many fish. But we did get 61 blue crabs in 2 runs. I agree, going to be a fun series. Thanks for the input.

I would be ecstatic to take 2 of 3. This will be a battle. I think Kentucky's best chance to win is easily on Sunday so LSU needs to come out strong early. Eades and Nola have played well, but the real strength of this team is 2-6. Laird, Bregman, Raph, Katz, and Ibarra are playing really well. Especially Bregman and Katz. If your pitchers can contain these guys, I'd say you have a good chance at winning the series.

at least we won't have to fight against that ridiculously short right field fence at Kentucky's park this year

I'll be honest, those Kentucky black jerseys are bad arse.

Im really excited about this series. Should be a great environment for baseball. Weather should be good and fans should show up.

Nola and Eades have been lights out, but our Sunday pitching situation has not been resolved yet. LSU needs to try and win this series in the first two or they could easily lose 2 of 3.

UK's lineup hasn't hit the ball well, but baseball is a funny sport and it only takes a weird bounce here or a lucky flair to get a team started. I think LSU takes 2 of 3 but we shall see.

Probably the most likely outcome. Avoiding the sweep down there is like winning a series anywhere else. If our third baseman can field the ball we may be in good shape, but that's been an issue. Will someone post a link of where we can stream the game from? Should be a hell of a series.

Aaron Fitt said that UK's Sunday starter (Litrell?) might be the best Sunday starter in the nation.

UK killed us last year with the short RF porch.
Being that Glenn is a lefty perhaps he can put up some zeroes against UK's lefty heavy lineup.

On the flipside - Katz and Bregman have been carrying us at the plate lately. So UK will have to contain them - maybe even try pitching around them. Rhymes and Ibarra have to be ready to carry the rope.

it's mainly a play on the local band Better Than Ezra - and when I created it - back in I don't know 2006? Auburn was perhaps our biggest rival.
