Nice. I just noticed your signature. Promote Javi? I don't know about that though. The rest is all good. lol @ calling Aaron Fitt a thug. ...
Like most here seem to think: 2 out of 3. Lose Sunday. I'm inclined to think we should switch Nola and Eades - but if it ain't broke...right? Although, would be great to see Glenn step up - especially since we got the lefty vs. lefty matchup going. Granted I'm sure UK hitters are used to s...
Word. Those bastards got what was coming to them. Yeah just looked it up - registered July 2006. ...
it's mainly a play on the local band Better Than Ezra - and when I created it - back in I don't know 2006? Auburn was perhaps our biggest rival. ...
Aaron Fitt said that UK's Sunday starter (Litrell?) might be the best Sunday starter in the nation. UK killed us last year with the short RF porch. Being that Glenn is a lefty perhaps he can put up some zeroes against UK's lefty heavy lineup. On the flipside - Katz and Bregman have been ca...
Rhymes obviously has the best OBP - at .519 then Katz at .427 then Nola at .426 Snickeris .383 (in limited AB's) Hanover .382 Ross .364 Moore .331 Jones .305 Fields .294 that's why Jones and Fields should be towards the bottom of the lineup...
I'm on board with Nola being leadoff. He's 3rd in terms of hits on the team - and he has the most Walks. He's good for a clutch hit every now and then and he's got a little speed on the base paths. Makes the most sense. His OBP is .426 (compared to Katz's at .427) ...
i agree. I think our 2009 team was our best overall. Considering there's more parity in College baseball now. ...
it's strange how most of us seem to be in agreement of having Nola at leadoff - considering he batted in the 5 hole almost the whole season. ...
Word. When you got a 1st round pick in the 6 hole. JHC. Then a future 1st rounder batting down in the line-up as well. Just not even fair. 8 guys batting over .300 and we had Landry on the bench too who wasn't bad. Had 12 bombs that year. ...
Yeah Dozar can be our first PH off the bench (vs. a Righty) Although Slaid was money recently......
Thing about putting Rhymes leadoff is he's batting over .600 I believe with RISP so you want to give him as many RBI opportunities as possible. ...
if anyone is questioning who to put at DH Snickeris or Dozar? Consider Snickeris is hitting .319 vs. Dozar at .264 and Dozar only has 1 more RBI in 34 more AB's and Snick has a 8:1 AB/K ratio vs. almost a 3:1 for Dozar...
I could see: Nola Hanover Rhymes Katz Ross Snickeris Moore Jones Fields but kinda sad compared to our 2009 line-up. I know the bats are a big factor but looking back- LeMahieu Schimpf Dean Gibbs Ochinko Mitchell Mahtook (not quite the 2011 version I realize) Hanover/Hele...
Jones strikes out way too much to be leadoff. He's too aggressive often. ...
Yeah TX has to be on the bubble. They had a 14-10 Conf. record that will help them - and only thing you could point to for their resume' being better than ours last year. Of course we all know the Big 12 isn't quite on the level of the SEC. ...
ideally you'd put Rhymes ahead of Katz but we haven't had a consistent good hitter with power to put in the #5 hole. Nola is probably our 3rd best hitter but he's more of a #2 type IMO. With Ross and Snickers back in the line-up today - it seemed to give us a big boost. I like Edward and Dozar b...
Nola Hanover - his average is up to .300 and he's our all-time leader in Bunts. Katz Rhymes Ross Snickeris DH Moore Jones Fields ...
