do recall JLee throwing 2 picks on our side the field in the Bama game, and JJ leading us down the field multiple times and allowing us to win the game?

This is why the fans don't believe that the QB situation is being handled correctly.
Everyone knew we had better options at that position!

Not so fast my friend. Do you recall JLee getting benched after leading the sec in passing because the golden child came back from suspension
Not even close. Stats are your friend. Look up JJ vs. JLee over the course of their college careers. One is still playing football, btw, and one isn't. This isn't the thread for another stupid arse three to six year-old debate about those two QBs. Lee and JJ were comparable, though they have different strengths and weaknesses. Beckwith and Welter are worlds apart. Beckwith will be drafted. Welter will not.

One of about four or five mind numbing questions on this season that we will never know the answer to unfortunately.

Here's a quick flashback
LAst year the coaches felt so comfortable with Welter starting in his first year at MLB with Lamar Louis backing him up they moved Beckwith from MLB to DE the entire year...

All I know is the second he left the game with an injury Bama started gashing us with the run with Welter getting knocked 10 yards off the ball and rarely making contact on ball carriers except from behind

This year it was just the fact that Chavis doesn't make switches quickly.
Especially a returning senior starter for a sophomore.
But it gets to a point where it is obvious, and we hit that point.

I mean shite guys, we replaced the worst MLB and replaced him with the best. We replaced a guy who wont even workout with NFL teams with one who will be drafted in the top 3 rounds. How can that be missed? I know i know it happens, but great scott it is frustrating

I've never seen a LB so easily and consistently taken out of a play. He gets swatted aside like an annoying fly. All the work ethic in the world is useless if you're simply not strong or athletic enough to play the position.

So if a younger backup has to be that much better than the starter to replace him we would have to have the next Peyton manning on the bench before we see another QB starting next 2 years

Yes throwing a couple ints after being the best qb in the conference deserves the death penalty in favor of a qb that literally can't read a defense or play the position in any substantive way.

Its unreal actually. I'm still scared shirtless with him being second string lol. Need to move Louis to the middle and let Welter just play special teams.

We don't have anything left to play for, but earlier in the year I would have been happy burning redshirts to keep him off the field. He has heart. Seems like a leader. Clearly loves the team. But man is he bad.

Would you guys shut the frick up about Jarrett Lee and Jefferson? This thread isn't about them. Jesus. I'm sorry I commented in the first place.

So moving on does this mean we have to consider if Beckwith will turn pro after his junior season?

He will (and should) declare as soon as he is eligible. He'll go by the late 3rd.
