Do you honestly think that hitting a particular dollar value translates to more wins?

Can you not read? You said teams that spend less have more wins. Whether you spend one million or 750k the difference doesn’t translate to more wins

quote:

so let's take the opposite, if money doesn't matter, why spend any? just spend little to nothing and still rake in the wins. good grief. it's like trying to reason with a 5 year old.

You have a hard time comprehending points. My god. Things go right over your head.

why do you think the best programs have them? my word. use your own argument. if it didn't matter, why spend the money on it in the first place? just have the players taking bp out in the parking lot.

Again results on the field in college baseball shows this does not matter at this level. Fresno State won it all as a 4 seed. You get how dumb you sound. Does that make every other team spending more on facilities than FS a terrible program?

I like Paul but maybe time for a change because recruiting has been good on paper but talent wise has not stacked up on the field and seems like Paul has really overstated talent on the field preseason. It's not Paul's fault we were ranked so high unless they were going off his word alone.

yes. that's not good. it's a problem. lsu fans should not be ok with that.

but it SHOULD. spending more money equals more advantages. this is true of almost every endeavor in life. it's why other programs are racing to close the gap by spending more money and building better facilities. lsu has more advantages yet the results aren't reflecting that whereas it is with other programs. why?

so you don't have a substantive response. that's all you had to say.

you are wrong and you didn't even try to prove your point with facts.

this is called cherry picking. look at overall cws records over the last decade or so and tell me how many fresno state's are in the top 10 in cws appearances/wins.

you should probably stop commenting on this subject and calling other people stupid if you think this comment has ANYTHING to do with why people are criticizing pm.

now this is an interesting point. i know someone on the saints staff and i have been told that payton intentionally maintains a tense atmosphere because he wants his staff coaching for their jobs every week. i realize not all orgs work that way but they do to some degree. i don't know that this is the case but it's possible that pm has yes men around him.

Yep.

Pressure makes diamonds and if the coal crumbles it was never meant to be a diamond anyway.

Mainieri isn't always soft spoken. In fact, he is known to go into rages over little things sometimes, like the pre-game meal being 5 minutes late. Very uneven personality that makes many who are near him feel very uncomfortable. And as far as the ex-players who come back to coach for him, where else are they going to get jobs until they establish a resume? Will Davis has a whole book full of Mainieri stories of ridiculous fits of rage when CPM didn't get his way or something wasn't done just exactly like he thought it should be.
That is probably the reason Grayson Byrd (paul Byrd's son) trasferred after his FR year. Grayson was expected to come in an compete immediately but didn't reach that level in his first year. He left and is now the leader in nearly every batting stat for a good Clemson team. We could def use him.

I seem to remember watching Watson sit the bench for the first 4 or 5 innings. Was this a meek and soft decision?
