Other than his bowling move. I don't think anyone can top that.

I'm jot asking for a NC every year. And even when we do play for one, I'm not expecting an automatic W. but I do expect our coach to have the team as prepared as they can be and to put up a good fight (which didn't happen last year) sure, we could've played lights out and bama could've still beaten us. I could've lived with that. But that's far from what actually happened

youd see that with the talent our team has, we should be winning sec champs and nc almost every year.
What a dumbass.

Fortunately for me, I am intelligent enough to distinguish between realistic expectations and being a moron. Fairly confident I can't say the same for you.
And FWIW, I am not a sunshine pumper, I just realize that this season could have gone VERY bad after injuries, dismissals and suspensions.

anyone with a brain would tell you 80+ wins isnt luck. No matter how you slice it.
Just like yesterday I never said that all 85 wins were luck...or "fortune". However, one could argue that a good 6 to 7 of those wins could have a "what are the odds" asterisk by them.

Bama and UF according to all the recruitng sites are more talented.
Auburn, UGA are rt there with us. TAMU has also now had 2 classes rated higher than ours over the last 5 years.
USC, UT, FSU, OSU, ND all recruit just as well as lsu. You seriously need to stop embarrassing yourself. Take off the p&g glasses and realize lsu doesnt have anything more to offer than these other schools. LSU is not the only team that puts players in the nfl. LSU isnt the only team with good facilites, lsu isnt the only team with a good coaching staff. One thing lsu does have, shitty fans, and a shitty city they are located in.

Ur right. Lets just settle for #2 or #3 in the west each year. Thats good enough. And i hear they give out free chicken sandwhiches at the chickfila bowl, which we will be playing in every year, so thats a bonus

Typical. You want him to do what you want or get fired, yet you cannot provide an adequate (and realistic) replacement. I almost wish we would go back to the Archer days, just to weed out the fans like you.

I could argue that for any coach in the nation that's coached 100+ games. You think no other team in the country has luck on their side. Hell, every team that's won a NC has at least one game or set of circumstances during the season where luck favored them.

So no other coach has those games? I know you have been getting ripped into, but you need to look at not just LSU. explain why bama lost to tamu? FSU to UF and Nc State. USC is plain awful.
Look at Sabans career at LSU, losses to ole miss, arkansas, bama, uf, ut, uab, auburn.... And some of those were strait beat downs.
lets look at 04, the year AFTER winning the bcs title with prob th emost talented team in the country and a future #1 pick not starting at qb.
22-21 against oregon state. Kicker never missed a fg after this game, should have been an lsu loss.
9-10 against aub. shitty loss
45-16, got blown out by uga.
24-21 aginst uf, could have been a loss
24-20 against troy. Hmm seems familiar doesnt it?
27-24, should have lost to ol emiss
25-30, had no businees losing to iowa in the wanning seconds as saban rides off into the sunset forcing LSU to hire a new coach in the first place.

Not only that, but how easy would it have been for the team to fold after the Bama game? 10-2 could have been 7-5 under other coaches. Even though we didn't trounce inferior teams in the stretch run, they won.

John Gruden would win 2 NC's in his first 4 years at LSU. Book it.
Every time I say someone the resonse is "Oh he's not available." Everyone is fricking available at a certain price. Everything is always for sale.

Going forward how many NC's do you think we win? Let's say the next seven years?
Realistically 1 or 2.
BTW how many did LSU have between 1920 and 1959?
Between 1960 and 2001?
I can't believe how short-sighted some people are and how delusional that if your team is not the National Champion every season, get rid of the coach and have a carousel of coaches every two years, because the incoming did not win a championship in that time.
Even if they win a championship, if they don't in the next season or two, get rid of them because they are not "NC" caliber coaches.
I really don't want to become another Arkansas or Auburn.
According to reports, he is still being paid less than Bob Stoops at Oklahoma, a comparable non-national championship caliber coach, whom he owned when he was at Oklahoma State.
One other thing, I do kind of like the fact that LSU can compete for conference and national titles while still providing an education for their football players. Before anyone says it was Saban who brought the Center for Academic Excellence, for which I am grateful, please know that Saban does not make sure LSU football players get their education now.

UGA got murdered by SC and may play for the Title.
UF got beat by that same UGA team.
Bama lost to a team because of one player at home.
SC dropped consecutive games to LSU and UF
A&M had leads on both LSU and UF and couldnt close.
But yea, Miles is the only coach who does shite like this.

Les Miles once tried to call a timeout in 2005 after Laron Landry intercepted a pass...

No they're not. Otherwise we would be looking for a coach. I swear our fans get dumber by the day.
