bullshite uniformed post. When you play the likes of aub, UF and bama every year, you play teams consistently ranked high in recruiting. Then you can throw in good years for Ole miss and tamu, sprinkle in Tennessee, usce, and uga. You are always playing teams with equal or more talent. We can be ranked in the top 10 but still finish 4th in our division in recruiting rankings.

It is a proven fact that nega-tigers and miles-haters simply hate winning. They hate a proven winner that has led their team to 95 wins and a 79.8 win percentage and they rejoice in his loses saying "I told you so, he is a bum!"
In all honesty I understand that people don't like him, that they hate his game management, and how the fence is down and what not. But to look at it on a bit of a macro scale, if some asked you if you would like to have a coach that would win you a conference title and lead you to the national championship game once every 4.5 years, and win the NGC once every 9 years.
Would you take it? Or would you they, "that depends, is his name Nick Saban?" Because believe me, when Miles leaves, Saban isn't coming back. And I dare you to tell me one coach other than Saban that you rather have than Miles. It seems to me we have at worse, the 2nd best coach in the NCAA.

Great thing about being a fan is that you have a right to be critical and vent when you feel like it. The fact is, we compete and continue to stay relevant in the best division in the best conference in college football. Recruiting is a huge part of college football. Miles does almost as good as anyone, except Saban. It could be much worse, Florida recruits well and had a horrible year last year. I would love to win a NC every year, but competing at a high level year in and year out.......I'll take it.

there is no fear in the SEC of Miles or a Miles coached team. Fear and intimidation do not equal,
There is no "fear" of any school or coach in the SEC. There is respect, but thinking there is fear of a school for another SEC school is silly. Certainly not among the likes of Auburn, Ga., Fla, Bama, or LSU.

they feel like they always have a chance to win against Les no matter how bad their team is. LOL.
Since LSU leads all SEC teams in wins during the last 9 yrs, their feeling has been wrong a lot more than it has been right.

This x1,000,000 to anyone who continually kisses Saban's arse. Saban had absolutely ZERO loyalty to LSU. To him, it was a business decision and he and Sexton used LSU to the hilt. Miles could have bolted to Michigan many times. He has remained loyal to LSU. I really wish these Saban lovers would just pull for BAMA and be done with it.

csb....
Several big TAF people I know claim Saban was ready to come back in 2007 when Miles to Michigan was in full swing.

Don't be blind in this situation. NCAA football is a business. For the right amount of money any coach can be bought, even Miles.

Its ridiculous that this statement has to be made. There are a lot of fans who truly believe that Saban is waiting for the opportunity to be back in BR. You cant even acknowledge thoughts like that.

quote:Disagree, I think Saban's Alabama team strikes fear and intimidation in quite a few bottom feeders particularly. Just look at the LSU fanbase, most people on here are scared to death of Bama.
There is no "fear" of any school or coach in the SEC. There is respect,
quote:They may, but giving up wins to bottom dwellers like Arky 2 or 3 times, 2 losses to the worst Ole Miss teams in the last 10 years, and barely getting by one of the worst Auburn teams in a decade in 2012,as well as allowing clusterfricks like the Tennessee games (twice), and allowing Moo State teams to take us to the brink several times, like I said, lets teams believe they can win. In addition to that a few of those LSU losses came in Tiger Stadium as well, so they were NOT intimidated.
Since LSU leads all SEC teams in wins during the last 9 yr
Les Miles teams perpetually underperform in games they SHOULD win, despite having a HUGE talent gap and supposedly, according to you, having superior coaching. So, I stand by my original comments that teams always feel like they have a chance to win despite all of that, because they know Miles does not have a killer instinct, either playing it 'close to the vest, playing not to lose', or not knowing how to deliver a death blow.

Is Les trying to renegotiate his contract this summer?
These threads always show up just before he goes into "talks" with some other team.

Which ones? 2008 & 2009 OM teams were 9 win teams. Those are some of the best OM teams ever. Last year's OM team was a bowl team.

I have asked me fellow tiger n Atl who'd he rather have, yet he can't come up with a legitimate name. None of them can. Every year the answers change....butch Davis, petrino, Patterson, gruden, Peterson, Kelly, Kelly, shite Dooley, muschamp, the list goes on.
