I think they’re doing everything they can to redshirt him so he has 2025 and 2026.

I am hoping we don’t need him in 2026 but if Nuss leaves he’ll be in a position battle with Collins and trfr Underwood

What kind of WRs will he have if he returns?

Definitely

Anderson may also be gone.[/quote

This is Anderson first full healthy season, he returns. He is a RS-Soph

[quote] Mason Taylor will turn pro.

Definitely

The question is, will C.J. Daniels return. I think he has an extra year left from the COVID year.

Also, you have Zavion Thomas returning .

As long as Nuss returns, Anderson will return. I think CJ Daniels returns regardless, and Zavion Thomas will be back.

I've told people, but i think Trey'Dez going to WR is going to make a big impact.

There is a legit chance LSU only loses Lacy and Taylor from the top pass catchers. Then Harlem Berry is like a RB and a WR both, so you'll have plenty of receiving options including starting TE Pimpton.

Burrow is not the best example. His meteoric rise had more to do with him being unburdened by the shitty remnants of the Les Miles offensive approach than anything else. While he may not have had a 2019 level season had he played in a similar offense in 2018, I suspect he would have had MUCH better numbers than he did that season when he was basically an average SEC QB.

Daniels is a better example because he played in the same offense two seasons in a row. Of course, Daniels wasn't a "first year starter" by any means. However, he clearly took a big step between 2022 and 2023.

Nussmeier has been fine. As Cole Cublic tweeted, he will still have a few "IDGAF" throws in every game. But you have to live with those because it's that extreme confidence that allows him to make the throws like he did to Anderson to tie the game, and earlier on 4th & 7 to Taylor to keep the game alive.

Except Joe was actually super good. I had to fight a lot of people in 2018 over this. He had no run threat, bad play calling, a bad line, and receivers were dropping everything and not getting open. Then we got CEH, the line matured and improved, the summer of 10000 catches paid off tremendously, and this opened up the playbook, which also went to a better play caller. Night and day. Joe was always ready at lsu.

Unburdened?
What happened to LSU when said shitty remnants fled Orgeron in 2020?
