How much damage can one family do to LSU athletics? Yikes.

Just put any others that come from that lineage on the "Do Not Recruit" list. I don't care how much talent they may possess.

The body count is crazy. Lester—DB, JJ and Dr Bryant, not to mention the loss of scholarships, probation and tournament ban. (Could be missing someone else). Drake—-Verge, Segar,Lewis, two tennis coaches at the minimum. Will likely have scholarship losses, bowl ban and probation as well. Also,Allegedly J B resigned from the BoS because of this fiasco. Father and son cost at least 8 people jobs, countless millions to the AD in investigation costs and lost revenue due to probation. Amazing the damage these two did to LSU.

Davis did something he shouldn’t have but everything after that. 100% on the university for not handling it properly. What will happen isn’t his fault it’s those in charge who decided what to do and not do.

If the university does what it should have once they found out the punishment ends with Davis. The point is what happens to the university isnt Davis’ fault,

Why? Does this come under NCAA purview or is it a legal matter?

Didn't Betsy Devoss remove some of the Title IX rules when Trump took office?

I wonder if your statement would be this relaxed if it was your daughter that he repeatably beat the shite out of! I have no clue where these two worthless POS are but if for whatever reason they're still in Louisiana their asses need to be run the hell out!

I hope what they’re saying is not that Davis is blameless. I think the point is that the only one Davis victimized is the girl he abused. He didn’t do anything to LSU. LSU did this to themselves but not helping this girl.

Not sure if youre being sarcastic but for the sake of answering, yes Drake Davis is the son of Lester Earl. Like father like son, they both have been responsible for causing probations and violations.

For the record, I never was willing to forgive Lester Earl for what he did to Coach Dale Brown. I knew Coach a bit and he was just an awesome leader. Very inspirational person on many levels.

Not to take blame away from Orgeron on miss handling the Drake Davis situation but I can promise you this wasnt all on him. Davis had a troubled past and a powerful name behind him trying to keep him on the right track.

It's a double edged sword because one side there's a zero tolerance for terrible acts, and on the other side he's a misguided young man without a strong father figure that a powerful person did everything they could to make an impact on his life. I dont feel sorry for Davis because it's disgusting what he did but the kid may be in prison right now without that one person using their influence to attempt to make a better life for him.

Edit: ...and that powerful person I'm referring to is not on the LSU staff

Yeah, I didn't play basketball but we went to the game. I think me and Lester are the same age.
