frick all of you non believers. This ain't Dinardo, Hallman, or Archer ball. Les Miles teams have MOXY.

I personally think that 75% of the posters here are kids themselves.. and everyone knows that kids can be cruel... Hopefully they are not adults bashing kids.... that would be a pity....One day maybe they will grow up and understand true Tiger spirit.....

I find it sad that there are people on a message board during the game instead of enjoying it with family and friends.
Get a life, people.

I watched the game alone. Where is this "life" you speak of ?

Not everyone is in a position to watch every game with friends or family. You assume too much and criticize without evaluating numerous variables that could prevent a fan from being able to enjoy the game with friends and family. For those who choose to watch and post, if thats what they enjoy then how can you criticize them.

A close LSU game is a roller coaster ride of various emotions for me. I know better than to get on a message board during such a game.
The game last night was an adventure of expression and my wife seemed to be amused by my antics. A message board is not the correct venue to express myself during a game like last night.
Great job Jarrett and welcome to the endearment of a few more fans. By your senior year and a couple of championship rings your fan base will be much larger.
'The Game the Home Streak Ended'.

While I agree with your initial post, I have to say that I myself was very pissed that first half and probably posted things I regret. That said, this is part of what makes the Rant the best sports board on the net - the freedom for all fans to express their pleasure or displeasure with their team's play. We all love the Tigers, and to say we are bandwagoners when we abuse them verbally during poor play just shows arrognace and ignorance.
Want a crappy board, go to BuckeyeNation.com. It's full of a bunch of boring asskissing Bucknuts. The administrator will throw out any negabuck or anyone he suspects is a flamer from another school without them hardly saying a thing. It's a joke and a snoozfest, just like their team.
Geaux Tigers! Great game last night! Lee, I hope you learned a lot last night, because you began to look like the guy I want leading my beloved Tigers of 45 years!

expressing your displeasure is one thing, calling players and coaches names is another

i wasn't on here last night, but i can tell which guy you were......you may not be a bandwagoner for verbally abusing them, but instead you are a sorry excuse of a human being, and showing your own ignorance

Thanx for running those type supporters off. LSU and the Rant don't need them.

I posted up until halftime. At that point, all my focus was on the game!
After last year, how could ANYONE think the game was over! I have a friend who is a Mizzou fan and he was just texting away about how LSU was in trouble. After this game and last year's he is coming ever closer to being a fan of SEC football!
GREAT GAME TIGERS!!!!!!!!

I'm personally embarrassed to see some of the comments on this board in the first half. Some have been suspended for their offensive, personal attacks on the players and, in one case, Coach Miles.
It was the same way last season.

Its just some people want to plant a seed and then use the "i told you so." If they are wrong, its not a big deal because everyone is happy with the win. Kinda pussy if you ask me.

I think Jeremy Maclin definitely has SEC talent.

I remember when Les was first hired. I actually was working in a restaurant at the time and waited on him and some LSU bigwigs before he was selected and announced as our next HC. I had my reservations at the time (like many) b/c of his reputation of losing games he shouldn't have lost while he was at Ok. State (and looking lost while doing so as well). I also, though, was extremely hopeful and thought, "This guy could be special" because he beat Oklahoma twice while Stoops and the Sooners were the darlings of the college football world (and, as someone already mentioned, with far inferior talent).
That being said, all doubts about the future of Miles and this program went away after his 1st year. Leading that team to the SECCG his FIRST YEAR after playing 11 straight IN THE SEC in the aftermath of Katrina. The Hat showed he can lead a team, and he does so with dignity and character. And don't give me that bullshite "but he did it with Saban's players" excuse. SABAN didn't have the success with his own players that Miles had! And I've seen many a team with great players be led to crap records b/c of inept coaching.
It is understandable to get a bit down when your team makes a boneheaded mistake, but FANS let that moment last for all of a second or two and look towards the next play to make up for it! And if OUR team just so happens to lose, we suck it up and praise them for their effort and thank them for representing LSU week in and week out.

I like this site just as much as everyone else, but the negativity and the ignorance of some people makes it hard to read at times. People panic and they come here and post a bunch of BS that should never be posted. We do have the freedom to show displeasure but at the same time people also have the freedom to point out when people are taking it overboard or making uneducated comments.
If LSU does not win a game we can point out the mistakes without bashing the team. The team is good but like everything else it is not perfect, there will be times when mistakes are made but the great thing about those mistakes is the fact people learn from them. Making mistakes is the best learning tool, but it is fans who start throwing these guys under the bus as soon as they make mistakes that creates a confidence problem. Why not support them and let the guys who are paid to coach this team do their job?
