In five of the first six bowl games under Les, we did a pretty good job with that. It's not impossible because Les is there, but I question Cam and Harris.

What about the last 5 bowl games?

I know it's been beat to death, but not utilizing the TE/short passing game has been killing us for years.

I believe it was the Arky game where Jeter hit at least 3 first downs on simple routes.

Watching the Panthers today and seeing Olsen (on my FF team) often in the backfield made me wonder why LSU doesnt do more of this.

He doesn't call the plays, but he gives CC a list of plays to choose from according to the scripted game plan.

It's only semantics.

These are Les Miles plays and Cameron is only pulling the plug from the "Les List."

Doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to figure this out..........

. I was told by an offensive starter this is exactly how it goes and the list shortens as the game goes on more times than not. Miles also overrules enough calls that it causes most of the time management problems and confusion.

I love Miles' not executing excuse.

It's hard to execute when the other team knows exactly what you're doing and schemes to stop your predictable play. You could execute like a Texas electric chair, but your play still isn't going to work when the defense and everybody in the stadium knows what play you're going to run.

Here is what is clear from the article (in seeking to decode Les' speak):

• CLM is going to make some changes to his stagnant playbook
• I would not look for Cam to return after national signing day. He will simply go away as have other assistants under Les.

Basically, it's Les' arse that is on the line if he doesn't make sufficient changes that turn this thing around. Ultimately, his stubborn ways will likely be his undoing.

Look, the guy has been here 11 seasons. We know what we have with him as the coach. If he doesn't take necessary actions to right the ship for next season, we will be talking about the new head coaches philosophy at this time next year. It's that simple.

How the frick do you know this? He said he doesn't. We should take him at his word. In any event, what difference does it make? The results are what they are. I don't understand why you put so much energy and emotion into knowing exactly why we run the plays we run. The responsibility for the results lies with the head coach no matter what.

The crux of the problem is that Les Miles, more than ever now, has great control over the outcome of the LSU football program. That alone should scare the bejeezus out of you.

Execute the plays being called? That's the problem. He doesn't realize it is the plays being called!

Then I must be drunk because I don't think we will run all over them. Remember Eastetn Michigan? They had the worst run defense in college football and LF was supposed to have 250 at the half. Well we ended up using LF almost the whole to game to ensure victory.

Does "re-gear" mean take it out of reverse?

A) When the head coach "suggests" a play you call it or get fired, got it???

B) The "Gear" that needs "Re-Gearing" has a name. Cam Cameron, his buddy.

Les will likely not get rid of him, because nobody else would hire him for a number of reasons.

Arkansas and their NFL sized lineman couldn't run on Texas Tech and got smoked.

Conclusion: We should have thrown it more vs. Ark like Texas Tech did, and we will not automatically run all over the field on Texas Tech.

Can't wait to see what gear we get stuck in during the Texas bowl.
