Who cares. Late Les! Why should we announce this at an LSU game! Most awkward times was when he was carried off the field to a post game presser keeping him!!!

Steve was getting some real interest from a BIG 12 school and others so we needed to wrap him up. Oh and recruiting. Yes recruiting is another reason. Yes, interest from numerous Top Ten schools and the recruiting class is dependent on Steve. Yes interest, recruiting and head coach in waiting is the reason for this 6 year 18.6 million dollar extension.

Les will do very well there, by their standards. After what they have done recently, he will shortly be King Jayhawk.
Will soon have them to 6-7 wins consistently and regular bowl games. That will keep their fan base happy, especially when they are competitive with K State every year.

Well, the AD there is Long, the former AD at Arkansas. I think he and Miles played together at Michigan, so Miles probably feels he will have AD support at least.

This is LSU win and Miles accepting a position inferior to his coaching ability in a place he will never succeed. He could have gone to Ole Miss after next year or even Purdue after next week. Cannot believe he is taking this job.
This is an embarrassment for Les, since Kansas is one of the worst Power5 jobs in the country.
Just ask yourself this question: if Jimbo got fired from FSU, sat a few years, and then took the Kansas job, this board would be laughing uncontrollably about what a horrible fall it was.
And by the way, I like Les. I'm just intellectually honest enough to acknowledge that this is an awful job for Les to take.
