I think what we will see is the Les we always saw was for the most part who he is. In fact I would be willing to bet that's who ESPN hopes to get.

Well, those of us who weren't on to his little act, anyway.

I think he is much more likely to answer like this: "You need to play really tough football"

I laugh every time someone says Les isn't intelligent, the dude has an economic degree from Michigan. Is he goofy? Yeah but everyone has a quirk that someone else may think is stupid.
The dude has been successful everywhere he has been and because of last year and the start of this he is now "dumb." Although I do believe a lot of post this over and over just dislike him because he isn't Saban.

Gauging intelligence is a very subjective pursuit I think.

But to the point of how Les would do as an analyst....

I think what you would see is largely the Les we always have seen and take that for what it's worth.

I personally think he knows the perception of his eccentricies and quircky verbal gibberish and does at times try to play that off as a Columbo-like ruse, he being a calculating genius duping us all.

But I think he sometimes falls short in these attempts and actually reinforces the original perception unwittingly.

How intelligent the guy really is, I have no idea. But I think if he does get a permanent analyst gig I honestly don't think you will see a significant difference from the Les we've all seen over the years.

I'm thinking quite a bit more than you can contribute, unless you are a HC with more than 100 victories to your credit.

Miles should memorize about five minutes of one of Bill Walsh's speeches about executing the west coast offense to perfection. Use it as analysis on Monday night. Just to troll SEC and especially LSU fans. To make the LSU fanbase look like the crazy ones. He will simply say the players failed to execute. He and his staff did everything they could.

Saban wasn't coaching there in 2006. His first season was 2007.

LSU got hosed by the officiating in the 2014 game. The horrible PF penalty on Vadal Alexander when the Gump player wouldn't let go of his leg, then flopped when Alexander slightly pushed him (incidentally, another Gump had an LSU player in a headlock on the ground right in front of the official). LSU went from 2nd and goal from the 6 to 2nd and goal from the 21.

Several PI infractions committed by Alabama DB's in that game that weren't called, including in OT against M. Dupre. And in OT, on the Alabama TD, the receiver (RB who went out wide) on the far side of the field was not set before the snap.

Back in the 70's there was a show called Rowan & Martins Laugh In.....this is what the broadcast will be if Les gets much air time. Hopefully it will only be during the half or end of the game...BUT it will be interesting to say the least.

Honestly, TV is where he should be. His personality seems perfect for it.
